spare tire carrier

Any of you guys running 33's keep your spare on the factory carrier? I have mine mounted and it fits fine, and as of now, I am having no problems...

Obviously, the 33 is significantly larger than that carrier was designed to support. I've been warned by one person on here that all that extra weight will crack the swinging tailgate around the bottom hinge.

I'm wanting to know if this is a common problem?

Thanks for your help!!!

Might be good now but you will want to move to an actual tire carrier. My 31" tire on the stock carrier started to rattle after awhile.

I'm waiting on mine right now.
He says he's done with it. Be advised, it does take him a while, as he builds them after they're bought.
I put in my order Oct 5th, and he told me their done on Oct 26th.
I'm getting matching front & rears, with welded in D rings all around and a receiver hitch out back.

I have been quite happy with my OR-Fab carrier but those are good looking carriers. Plus no holes to drill into the tub!
