alrighty i need some help finding a part. looking for the wire harness that connects to the factory stereo wires and allows you to install an aftermarket stereo. having trouble finding one. any help?

Your best bet is to find what wires are what with a color diagram, not sure where to get one, then snip and twist the wires onto the ones that came with the aftermarket stereo, that's what i did on my tj.

you gotta find the ground wire, power, and all the speaker wire and thats it.

And that way you don't need a wiring harness.

i dunno bout your wally world. but mine carrys wiring harnesses. best buy or any local stereo shop will and should carry them as well. crutchfield.com is a great source too. i personnaly have alway used wiring harnesses so that if i wanted to get rid of a car i could just slap the stock unit back in and still have my aftermarket one. harnesses are super easy to use...

got another question. when removing the stock stereo and looking at the factory antenna, it doesn't seem long enough to let me plug it into the back on my head unit. anyone had a similar problem? i was looking at the antenna extensions and just wondered if they would work

Yes they work. I went ahead and just replaced my antennae with a rubber one from AutoZone for $9.99. They do not have as good a reception as the power one in my car but it get all the local stations, and reaches comfortably to my head unit.
