Stripped Skid plate threads

Anyone have any "tricks" to fix this? Dropping the transfer case for my lift, and stripped the last two bolts (of course). How about the right tap? I haven't been able to locate any information on the bolt...

cut a slot in the frame to insert a wrench sounds like the welded nuts inside the frame broke free

except they're not nuts, but sleeves that are welded on from the outside. least, mine are. helicoil perhaps, which ones are they? maybe don't even stress over it. protofab has some small threaded inserts, you could drill out the existing stuff and stick one of the inserts in, they look just like the stock piece.
