I did appreciate the wave, but most non jeepers, or even non wrangler/cj owners don't know about it. I preferred the first, they talk about where jeep has been and what jeep has done, with older jeeps in the ad, the second one tried to shove the new abomination of a cherokee and the fiat renegade down our throats too much, I thought, but that's just me.
I passed a JK driver in my yj 2 days ago and he didnt even look.....i felt empty inside . Anyway reminds me when i first had my bike and the motorcycle community you give the sign when you pass another rider. My first 2 days i had no idea why other jeepers were waving to me.....happy to be apart of a community like this make me feel entitled!
First commercial was sick....My packers will be back next year!
Id like to call false advertising on the first one. "we dont make Jeep, you do" hah! We do once we get our hands on 'em. But before that I dont think they have a clue what we want anymore.
yes. They don't teach jeep etiquette at the dealership. Which should be mandatory. From what I've found, on the road, the newer jeep is supposed to wave first. In the event the jeeps are the same. Then just wave.
Oddly enough, I was just reading about the jeep wave this morning, the etiquette, the ranking system, the whole deal. My buddy has ridden with me in my YJ a whole lot, he just got an XJ and the wave cracks him up.
hahaha, funny you should say that, I live about 50 minutes from the start of the rubicon trial, and there a jeeps a plenty. I see a crazy amount in the drive through line at the 24 hour Starbucks by my house.
They should start including a section in the manual about manners and necessities of owning a Jeep. Things such as: waving, having a set of torx drivers in the vehicle at all times, going to local meets, talking your rig up, etc.
Good keep it that way. Threaten to take away jeep priviliges. Tell there is an on going "no fly list" i've used that to keep my goons in line, like my engine.
I live on Schofield Barracks, HI, and there's a ton of Jeeps here. At least 3 CJ's, probably over a dozen YJ's, and too many TJ's and JK's to keep track of. The vast majority wave.
I missed the super bowl due to training but glad to see Jeep got a few ads in. With all the nonsense going on at FCA, it's good to see they have at least one profitable brand. I wonder who's going to own jeep next?
I hadn't seen the, have never watched sports unless it has a motor in it. The first one is pretty good, second one, like someone else said, pushing the fiat renegade at us.
I disagree. GM turned the silverado package and he sierra package into their mown models, but I do agree that it isn't a real renegade, but because it has a fiat engine and is made in italy. I somewhat dislike that my YJ was made in canada, personally.
but, If jeep gets sold off, I hope to god it is to GM.

One thing I noticed today while driving around was the JK guys looked kinda surprised when I waved to them, atleast the ones who waved back had a shocked look, kinda like "people actually do that?! I'm suppose to wave to other jeeps?!"
I just want a GM engine stock, maybe since ford and GM are in a partnership kind of deal, sharing transmissions and all, they could make a jeep how we modify them to be, GM small block with ford suspension. Or maybe they could just re release the bronco, and the K5 jimmy and blazer with full drop tops.
I'm not knocking it, I love when older people own jeeps. I can usually talk to them about the many jeeps they've owned, where as i've only had a TJ and a YJ, but 2 out of the 6 vehicles i've ever owned isn't a bad ratio. I'll never get rid of my YJ.
I think ads were done well in an advertising kind of way. Btw jkur here and I find its the people who have done mods who wave. Running stock don't wave !
