I need to dig this up. Just got seats from 2 door cavalier and NOTHING about them looks like it mounts to my Jeep (1991). What seat sliders did you use the jeeps or cavaliers. WTF always my luck

If I am reading it correctly, this article says that you unbolt the hardware from the bottom of both seats and use the Jeep mounts on the new cav seats. He has picts from a 91' change over: 1991 YJ seats...what years fit - JeepForum.com

Hope this helps.

I wonder if these would still fit with a center console in the middle??

I have Cav seats out of a 93. Needed to do a little fabrication to get them to fit. I do have a center console. The seats are a little higher than the factory seats, but not really wider. I'm not sure about the direct fit seats though.

Heck yeah...50 bucks is hella cheap for a good pair of seats. Plus you could use that extra money to beef up the important stuff (engine, suspension, etc.) I would take 50 dollar pair of junkyard seats over a brand new chinese made pair of vinyl seats. LOL...

While this is a good deal, and good find. I need vinyl / leather. I go topless / doorless, and I don't want to deal with a seat cover, or smooshy-stinky seats. If I kept my top on, I'd look for these.

seat swap with tilt & slide mounts

I need to replace my seats as well. I noticed you said your 90' YJ seats only tilted forward. My 90' YJ Sahara seats tilt forward and slide. The seat swap idea sounds like a very inexpensive way to replace my seats as long as they fit on my sliding/tilting mounts...

They bolt right into your sliders... just take the 4 bolts off and bolt them to the new seats... mine are from a 99 Sunfire, they tilt back and forward...

Nice find! The price is even better. For $50, I wouldn't even care if I had to replace them eventually. I'm heading to the nearest junkyard. I think they'll look great!

I don't like my vinyl on cold days... its holds the cold, and I mean like 10 degrees F cold! Goes right through pants and makes for a crappy ride until you warm 'em up. So, we cover 'em with seat covers in the winter. Vinyl is great for summertime, but thats about it for me...

It's great up there, but Down South in the summer vinyl will burn your butt up till you cool them off with your tush.

As long as they don't smell funky or absorb mud too well...
What's the problem?

I went and looked at some cavs' at one of the local salvage yards and couldn't see exactly how the seat bolted to the jeep seat frame. I'm guessing I need to be able to see the bottom of the cav seat completely to really see how it mounts to the jeep hardware. I didnt buy any today, but I probably will.

I'm wondering if they changed in 2000 as I just bought some for my CJ5 and had to weld the brackets on. The 99 bolted right in my Wrangler that started this thread

I think you had a great find beachjeep. I might have to go steal my wife's seats from her cavalier now, though mine are not too old and are in great shape. Good idea though, will keep that in mind in case one of my jeep friends need seats or if mine mysteriously disappear.

I thought s-10's might work. s-10's are more available in vinyl for the outdoors in jeeps

They were out of my 92 bravada. Which is a 4 door so they don't tilt forward but ones out of a 2 door blaser or ex-cab s-10 will
