Thinkin about selling the YJ

this is kinda a feeler thread and more for opinions, i have been thinking about selling my jeep just because i miss my fullsize trucks. i have a 95 with 183K on it with a BDS lift and brand new trxus M/T;s i just dont know if i will get any good money for it. i need a truck to haul all of my duck hunting stuff coming up in the fall here and would like something that doesnt tempt me to go wheel and break it. and i think its a shame to keep the jeep a pavement princess. i have been going over this for a while in my head just lookin for some other opinions from some people. TIA

95 wrangler 4banger 5.25 " of lift sittin on 33's black steel rims Gone But not Forgotten

Tow Vehicle: 2003 GMC 2500HD duramax 6.6, 4 inch turbo back magnaflow exhaust, tow mirrors, 285/75/16 BFG A/T's Westin brush guard and steps, leer cap, K&N intake, Sirius sat. radio

dont waste your money on junk lifts, save a few extra pennies and get something good.

We bought a very used z71 ol cheby truck to take to the duck blinds. Go in with a couple of your buds and it won't be too expensive. And there is always the option of a small trailer to tow to the duck blinds.

Go back, it's a trick. Don't part with the jeep!!!

For what you'll get for your Jeep, you'll wind up regretting the sale. Unless the Jeep isn't paid off, why not save up a little longer for the truck and keep them both? Then in the future you could turn the Jeep into an offroad only vehicle and tow it with the full size truck. Then you could really go crazy with the Jeep.

Buncha junk I've spent hard earned money on.

Sorry I couldn't resist. It's the third grader in me coming out

I gave my 87 CHEROKEE to my son thinking I didn't need it anymore, WRONG! Once you have had a jeep it is hard to go without. (Kind of like going without a girl/boy friend) I drive an F150 4x4 with the 5.4 Triton. Love it, but it's not a jeep. Had to go out and buy an '88 YJ. Now the yard looks right. Work truck and play Jeep.

don't have a jeep yet, but have the truck...just my 2 cents is get/keep both!

my truck is paid off and thought about trading against an 06 SE...well i posted that and everyone gave their opinions on the SE, so we're waiting and going to look for a 4.0 model....

we decided when our finances are better off in Aug or Sept (just put in a pool!) then we'll put some $$ on an older Jeep and keep the truck...i thought of getting the jeep then buying another truck down the road, but i only have 72k on my Dodge Ram, it's paid off, and it's never been a problem..i was only getting 6k$ in trade..we figured it was better to wait 60 days or so and get an '99-2003 4.0 Wrangler with a few more miles on it and have 3 vehicles than it was to have payments and no truck...

i just couldn't justify not waiting 60 days and not having a truck, and having to spend more $$ on a trailer instead of toys for the JEEP!

just MHO...

what you really need really is a 90`s subaru legacy wagon. Go out and get your self an awd model. theres lots of room in the back carry your duck hunting stuff and a cooler of beer and 4 of your buddies. i got one for 50 bucks we ran that thing threw 4wheeler trails, no trails, water over the hood, then ran it threw 3demo derbies. so if you want a disploable car that if you trash who cares get a subaru

Dude, the jeep is kewl, and the girls like Jeeps. I know you are still young, and unmarried. Got to protect the image........ Shoot, just build you a light weight trailer, too tow behind your jeep. That should hold all your dec's.
