you might need an easy out to get that torx out. don't know if parts houses carry them. if not, try sears.

start at the tail gate. the two short bars/rails go there. then the two curved corners. everything else will line up correctly.

Thanks navy. Im going to go to lowes or home depot tomorrow and see what i can find. I understand what you are saying about the rear corners, but are the side rails supposed to touch the rear corners? Thanks

Let me know if your top fits snugly or not. My top is loose, but I think it is because it is so friggin' hot here in NM and the fabric really stretches. I've maxed out the adjustment on it and it's still loose in the back. The little tabs on the rear don't even fit in the rails. Now that it is cooling down the fabric seems to be tightening up and the top fits well. Just curious and good luck w/the install. I have pics from when I installed mine in Jul if you want them...let me know.

yepper, moneypit. they all butt up to each other. and actually, about the bolt, splash, anything should work as long as the threads and length match up.

lossen the top, get yer top aligned. on yer pic, slide the window tabs left and pull the rounded corner left. then you'll have to pull the rh side piece toward the rear. to loosen, just pull down on the spreader bar. realign all fabricc then push spreader bar up. that should do it. do you have a lh pic from the rear?

I believe i have tried everything. I have been out there for 4 hours. Everything is just too tight and there is too much to make up for and the corners are sooo tight.

I tried taking the spreader bar completely down and then there is like no way it will go back up when the top is where it is supposed to be. I was hanging on the rear roll bar like a monkey trying to get it, Because at that point i did not give two shits if it ripped. LOL

It looks like its being pulled forward. just wondering, do you have all the button snaps that connect the top the the hardware on in the right direction?

And are you trying to put the hardware fully up then hook the top to the body or vice versa?

Well i tugged and finally got it on somewhat. I know what your saying navy and thats what i did. But when i undid everything and moved the the spreader bar forward then connected everything, it was way too tight that i could not move it to the rear and connect the snaps again. I hope its a little warmer tomorrow so i can see if the temp will stretch it.
Just a side note, i should not be too frustrated i found this top with two piece doors on craigslist for 700. I talked the lady down to 500. When i got there and checked everything out i saw that a mouse had eaten a maybe 3''x3'' hole in the rear window. The lady was upset and so was i, i didnt really want to pay 800 or so for a new top. The lady was frustrated at the whole thing. Make a long story longer i took it home for 100.00 It was brand new minus the hole in the rear window. I sent geoff at bestop a message about the part number for the new window.

put the snaps on loose then tighten. should work. also, on the inside of the rear cross bow it must be seated correctly in the upper corners where the zippers connect. don't worry, you'll get it.
