Well I finally have some $$$$ to buy new tires for my YJ. But since I have never actually had "fancy" or good tires Well i am asking for your guidance.

My YJ is a completely STOCK 95 tire size 235 75 15. It has never seen mud but I hope to change that soon. It is a DD and I am trying to keep it under $150 per tire.

Is it at all possible???

The tire place lists stock tires as 215/75R15s

What trim is your Wrangler [Rio Grande, Sahara, ect.]

The optional tires listed are 225/75R 15

if I were currently shopping in your price range this is the tire I would purchase.
General Grabber AT2 Tire Reviews (35 Reviews)

It has good reviews, is modestly priced [Sears quoted me 150 each] Is agressive but still has good road manners.

Sears: Online department store featuring appliances, tools, fitness equipment and more

This is my second choice. I currently run this brand of tire on my 2004 Expedition. I have 0 compliants about them.

Sears has these for 130 a tire.

Unless you ship them....your best deal is going to vary by what your local guys carries.

The Grabbers above are a decent tire. Mesa also makes a copy that holds up well.

I am gonna ask the local places to quote me on some of the recommendations... Really like the look of the "grabbers".

I put 31x10.50x15 on my stock YJ and have no problems....the original was 29x9.50x15.....i got mine locally for 740.00 (BF Goodrich A/T's) mounted and balanced.....and that included new lugs with locking kit.......

Goodyear mtr w Kevlar... Best tires I've ran for all around use! Quiet on the road, tear up mud, and good in the rain

They are basically a copy of the BFG all terrain...the Mesa copy is very similar (might even made by same company).

The "General Grabber" is not available in any of the tire shops around here... Just my luck.
