Well... jeep4x4center.com suggests 33" tires for 4" lifts.
But then again, there are some folks who can tweak a little here and tweak a little there.

Wrangler YJ Lift Kits at Morris 4x4 Center

Just nooby advise from what I've found, because I'm looking into some 4" skyjackers for my YJ.

I am currently running 31s. I was thinking of going to 33s when these wear out, but then I was also thinking of the extra articulation I can get with a smaller tire. I have not found anything I cannot go over with the 31" tires. I have needed a couple of tugs, but so did people with 33s and one with 35s. Alot of it is dependent on your driving style/skill. If you are only going for cosmetics, then go for 33s, if you like wheeling and want a little more challenge, go 31s. Here is a pic of my Jeep with 4" on 31s

33's fit great on mine but I think I got room for 35's but the bigger the tire the more stress u put on ur axles. I've bent both of back axles with 33,s on mild stuff and I believe the dana 35 is only rated for a 33 because its extremely weak

I got 33's and I believe I got plenty of room for 35's and 36's with a body lift. But they say 33's arelimit for the d35 but min aint broke yet and I got a full locker and a heavy foot although I have bent two axles
