tire size???

about to start buying everything for a lift and tires for my 94 YJ and wanted to know what the biggest tire size i can put on the car without re-gearing it, i want to put 35's on it but wasnt sure if that was too big?

If it's a dd w/ 3.07 gears go with 4" lift and 31's till you can get better rear axel with lower gears. If it's just a toy and your not worried about highway speeds then throw some 33's on it and trim the fenders.

Did you swap your rear axle yet? If not then you will have to look at that or the super 35 kit if you want to run anything bigger then 33's open open. As to regearing.. 33's is when you want to start to think about regearing but regearing is very expensive so you only want to do it once... So if you think 35's are in your future then you would want to regear for that size tire once you get to 35's.

What you gear to will depend on basically 2 things.. Tire size and whether you have a auto or manual tranny.

best gears to run with 33's are 4.56's. also, if you regear, make sure you regear the front as well!
