tires and lift

I need to get tires for my 89 wrangler (totally stock)It has 31 's on it right now with no lift.(it does rub a bit on tight turns)I don't have alot of money right now to spend on mods.I was think about installing a 2" shackle lift. Will this work okay?If so do you think i should stick with the 31's or step up to to say a 33? Thanks for the replies.Oh and i'm curious how much lift and what ype can you go before needing different shock's and what not?

i got a 2.5" pro comp suspension lift for about 600-700 dollars. A 2.5 lift can go up to 32" tires. You can always use a body lift to add up to around 1 or 2 inches with out touching your suspension. Ive seen body kits for about 70-150 dollars.

they do sell cheap lift kits. around 300 bucks or so. but i didnt want to spend half the money and cheap one would just be a waste. i heard stories about cheap lift kits sagging and leveling out. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
