Tow Trailer - Ideas

So I got tired of trying to flat tow the jeep, and thought I would just go ahead and get a trailer. Personally I have several other uses for it and I had the cash so why not. Anyway, its a 20'x83" utility trailer with 5200 axles. I mounted a toolbox on the front with a winch inside (just in case), and yes I welded a plate beneath so it will hold. I added some rear facing lights so I can see the deck at night and a light forward facing underneath in case I need to hook up or unhitch at night. Using a marine battery in the box for power with a charger/maintainer. I have a bottle jack, chains, bindings, straps, and assorted tools inside.
Just wondering how you guys might have your tow trailers set up, and what tools, supplies, etc y'all might have and carry. Just looking for more ideas.
Thanks!

Hell you could sell tool boxes pre-set up like that and throw a patent on it. I'm not aware of any that come with winch, charger station etc. If I'm wrong... Still nice set up. If I'm right we expect to see them for sale in the next 4wd and Quadratec catalogs

Thanks a lot pal. Now I want a trailer. I really don't need one but it would be fun to show off a copy of your setup.
Please don't patent it until I get mine.

Good Luck, L.M.

Very nice set up........ I trailer my Jeep if I go out to west Texas. No wear and tear on tires, drive train or brakes. If somewhere local I tow and this has really worked well for me. Not to mention you can pack a lot of hunting equipment or camping inside your Jeep and it all stays dry and secured.

The guy is a bit of a goof but look up Stacey David Gearz on YouTube. He has a 4 or 5 part build on a trailer. It's similar to yours. It's meant for barn and field finds, so it has the Warn Powerplant and some other goodies on it.

My only idea for you is to make it fold into a tent so you can camp in it. You're above the water and mud if you're in the trailer. It's something I haven't seen, a combination of a car hauler and camper.

Looks good. I also added the battery box/winch plate to my car carrier, with a fair lead roller at the back end. Marine charge separator in the tow truck to send low-amp recharge through Dodge-style trailer wiring hook-up.

Might not make sense for you, but we welded on truck-style strap winches on 4-foot centers, for hauling fruit bins. Makes strapping down all sorts of loads a breeze.
