Towing/Recovery Shackles

My front bumper had (2) 3/4 inch shackles on it (someone stole them). I was thinking about replacing them and using Loctite to keep them from being stolen again and then just getting an extra shackle to keep in my Jeep to hook up my towstrap. Any comments/suggestions?

I would buy a new set and not put them on until your ready to hit the trail. Putting Loctite on them would also keep you from taking them off as easy, plus if a thief wants something bad enough they will get it and the harder you make it the more stuff they will tear up trying to get it...............IMO

That's why I was going to buy a third one...so I wouldn't have to take the mounted ones off. Good advice tho....never thought about them tearing up other stuff. Thanks!!

Just mount the shackle before u go offroad. What is the point of displaying a shackle if its not in use. But if u think its "cool" its up to you. Or if your justcompulsive and drive down the road and have sudden urges to drive in farm fields or over them nice inflatable halloween and christmas ornaments every1 seems to put in there front yard and u need the quickest possible exit. lol
