I am not real happy with my KC's. They have completely rusted out on the bottom where the bolt is. I moved them from the bumper to the windshield and I can't even tighten them up anymore because the carriage bolt inside just spins. I have only had them for a few years.

My advice (I am a Jeep newbie and am following it right now) is to find used- but good- stuff. Check the Jeep forums, ebay, craigslist, maybe your local paper classifieds.

I have found a few things so far in good condition, a lot less than new. Just have to be careful and check out everything, so you don't get screwed.

im looking into an soa, spring over axle, conversoin for my jeep, they make kits. I myself plan to do it myself. we have a large shop, i dont know what your working with but the soa could add a few inchs. it will also keep your springs from getting caught up. With some new parts and stuff picked up here and there i think it should be an easyish project. if not, some one who know something let me know and know what i will need.

figured I'd start this dead thread back up...

IPF fatboy bulbs (best upgrade I've done I think) $36 on ebay (new)
ECode housings $60 for a set
Hella 500's $52
rubber floor mats $20 per set
mossy oak seat covers & steering wheel cover $80
tri led dash lights >$30 (BTW already gone out and put the old lights back in)
SoundBar w/map lights $45 (new)
Keepin the peace.

The difference between sport and combat is that in combat you bury the one who comes in second.

for under 100 - you do the labor

Change your coolant

Change your trans/Tcase fluids

Change your oil/filter

Change your brakes

Add a hood air intake cover...

there's more- I'll add later

I can't wait to pull out a "glorified mini van" this summer
