Weber carb

I was told by a local Jeep mechanic today that I would be wasting my time if I put a Weber carb on my 258!! He said that they could not be adjusted and that he quit installing them for folks a few years ago. I know I would be better off with the fuel injection system, but those fuel systems are pricey.

Any thoughts from you guys?

I think it depends on which weber you put on as to how it can be adjusted. The 38 is adjustable, but the 32/36 is not. I'm no too sure about the 34, but thats what I put on mine. I'll be keeping it stock so I'm not worried about getting more out of it. If you plan on modding the engine then you probably need a 38, if you're going to keep it stock then the 32/36 will do. I know the 34 is a little of both the 32/36 and 38, so I stuck it on. Never screwed with carbs before and it was extremely simple.

36/36

I'm thinking the 36/36 or 38/38

from what i was told is that unless you have some performance mods done to your motor don't go to big it will be to much. that's why i went with the 32/36.
