Weekend Project

I am one of those that actually likes the spice interior. Everything was gray from 1989! I used the SEM (camel) and the color is dead on. Easy to work with and I couldn't be more pleased!

Yes yours looks great! Job well done! Now I just need seats, seat belts, console, roll bar pads, and I'm sure that I am forgetting stuff. Looked at the black mountain seats this weekend. I can get all three seats new for $399 which is what I was quoted for one re-cover. Got to get this done before I lose the top for the summer. Can't be seen with a mismatched interior......lol

Mine will be mismatched for a while. Kind of ran out of money

89TXYJ. That looks great. Which of the SEM products did you use? How did you prep? Chemicals etc.. I am wanting to do the exact opposite. I am getting rid of the spice color and going to gray.

SEM color coat. SEM also makes a soap to wash everything and leather and plastic prep in an aerosol can.

Basically I scrubbed everything with a gray scotch brite and the SEM soap. Once it dried, I sprayed it down with the prep. Three light coats of the color coat finished it up. The stuff is $15 a can, so it is not cheap, but I highly recommend it. It applies very easy.
