What can I expect

So I just purchased my very first wrangler a 93 yj. For the past ten years I have driven nothing but little hooked up imports (not hondas please don't call me a honda bitch) anyway but there has always been apart of me that wanted to be riding hi and running through mud so here I am. The reason I started this thread like I said is because I have no idea what to expect from this beast. I know I can't drive it like one of my cars but what else are some good need to know info?

give us the details on your jeep. model, mileage, condition, mods, everything. also, you can learn a lot more from one trail ride or from driving it then we can tell you. but tell us about your jeep.

Ha I already responded to this via pm but guess everyone would like to know. Its a 93 yj s it has 133k miles 30 inch tires as far as I know all thats been done. I asked the previous owner and he said in between sixty and sixty seven shakes but after that it calms down. I have already planned on updating the bushings and interior cause both are shot.

Yeah four banger. From my many years of four bangers I atleast know that with alittle tweaking you can push alittle more power.

wow its been awhile faces have changed around here. first thing first if the jeep is shaking at highway speed best to stop and address that. its most likely dw, if you dont know what that is then you should look at the top of the yj index page sounds like what you have.first thing you need to know is that the 4 banger is not fast. and never will be its peppy but if you ever go bigger on tires its not a good motor unless you gear it. but for a dd it should be fine for ya

you shouldn't its not that the motor has no power its just not enough power for the highway . just use 4 lo and you should be able to go through anything. you wont be throwing giant rooster tails or anything but if you have a good tire you should make it.
