Post What have I got myself into? I am loving it! 1988 Yj

My name is Lisa,
I was in a motorcycle wreck last year and I love the feeling of the wind on my face, mudding, fishing, basically anything out doors.
So I finally got a Jeep 3 weeks ago.
Not knowing oh so much I sure have learned a little the last three weeks.
Really feels like I've learned a lot but yea I know it's just a little a little addicting.
1988 YJ the frame was all rusted out on driver side, the driver side floor panel was pretty bad a few people were like OMG I don't know if you can get your money back if you sell it.(but I wouldn't sell it like that)
I thought I got it for a really good deal and since I have a few people that don't mind teaching me I learn how to weld and I love it.
I sand blasted the frame for 2 straight days and took most the rust off. Sanded the rest got a few pieces of frame replacements and welded them in. Tacked heavy metal on floor panel and fiberglassed over it both sides. Sanded for a loooong time in between we'll humm I am still sanding, finally sprayed primer and more sanding.
Well I could go on step by step but I would write like 10 pages.
Fiberglass and welding have made this project like my new best friend and no way am I selling this jeep now.
I am looking for a windshield frame if anyone knows where I can find a good deal.

Look for part outs in the fit sake section here on the forum. Then there is EBay and Craigslist. You could also get a windshield frame kit from Quadratec or Morris 4X4.

All depends on budget. New ones come flat black need paint before assembly. Old ones depends on where you get it from but there are some deals out there if you look for them.

Typical spell check phone. For sale threads here on the forum. Part outs sometimes you can get a color match
