When they originally broke in, it was parked overnight in a Safeway parking lot....

Its been 3 years since they got in, its parked in a garage nights now.
Saves my amp and subs from parking lot intruders this way.

Full hard top and doors so it is somewhat secure, well, for 2-3 more weeks till the hard top and doors come off, then its at least covered with a tonneau.....

I replaced my power steering return hose. My old one was rusted through near the steering box

Thanks. I believe it's a 2" suspension with 2" body on 33x12.5. The PO wasn't sure what lift it was.

did some measuring of power train components

ford
302: 29"
c6: 33.5"
np208: 12"
total: 74.5"

jeep
258: 31.75
tf999: 34.375
np207: 12"
total: 78.25"

this will allow me almost a 4" longer rear drive shaft then i currently have, and if i can find an aod that is good, almost a 7" longer one. that should help with vibes when a lift is installed in the future

Reverse build...kinda

Did a bit of a reverse build on my 1995 Jeep Wrangler Sahara today. Things I did:

1. Put the stock fender flares back on
2. Put the spare tire carrier back on
3. Put original Jeep Grizzly wheels back on
4. Put 5 Yokohama Geolander AT/-S 30x9.50 Radials

Can't believe the difference in the ride with the new tires on. Quieter, a bit more speed, better climbing hills.

ruh roh, thats how it goes when i do stuff too. i have a gravel driveway and sure enough, every damn time i have to work on the jeep, something falls down into the gravel and i have to push the jeep backwards and get a magnet to find the miniature cotter pin that fell or the tiny screw that fell

I bought a new Kenwood deck and some new Pioneer 6 1/2 speakers for my under the seat speakers. Figured I would save the money on marine speakers and just get a 4 year warranty, that way I can ruin them all I want and they will install new ones for free. Doing install of deck and speakers tomorrow, will get some pics when I do it.

Hope you didn't get them from Best Buy. If so, that warranty is only good until the first time they give you new ones. Then you have to buy the warranty again. Yes they will "fix" them as many times as you want for 4 years but only one set of new ones.

Finally finished my Bushwacker flat flare install, put the $hittybuilt bumper/tire carrier on, and installed CB and Antenna and had it dialed in. Done for now, since I'm broke...

Installed two of my four M.O.R.E. Boomerang shackles today. Don't know if I like the cadmium plating, so I might paint them black. We'll see how I like the color after a week or so. Maybe the color will grow on me. Will see how well they flex this weekend. Gonna try to install the rears here sometime soon.

Odd, think they'd go better the other way, more down travel before the bracing hits the frame rail

On the rear, the long legs of the boomerang shackle go up, while on the front, they go down...according to M.O.R.E.'s installation instructions. With the fronts the way they are, they're designed to be an "anti-kickback" shackle.

Well all boomerang style shackles are anti kickback or in, other words prevent inversion, I'd just think you'd get more down travel having them mounted long part up, could be wrong. since the instructions tell you otherwise then I'll eat my shoe here lol

I do have their warranty on my speakers, and I have had their warranty before, actually have it on a Alpine 12" Type R that I bought from them, blew it twice now and they just give you a new one for free, as long as you have the warranty. So I'm not too worried.
