I wish I had the extra $$ to do that but alas I don't so I went with the Posi Lock, works great BTW. The only problem I had was busting open my knuckle when the drill bit stopped!

I'm just going to pull one from a cherokee. They don't have a CAD. Then I'll upgrade shafts and put in a locker in about a year or so.

I don't know if cherokees have the larger u joints in them, but you can get early tj shafts that eliminate your CAD and they have the larger stronger ujoints.

If you are going to let other people drive your toys then you have to be willing to accept the fact that they may bring it back broken. Now a good friend will step up and fix it at no cost to you.

She wasnt driving it, she hit it with her Samurai.

I didnt want to deal with all the insurance, so I said its whatever. She did offer to take it to her dads shop and have him look at it. So if it does start to bother me I could do that. Or take the fender off my self and beat it with a hammer a bit and repaint it

And she jacked her Sammys rear end up a bit.

I always thought they looked so weird with out the bumper.

I do like the stubby bumper look, but dont want to do it. My offroad lamps and loacted on the ends of my bumper, and I love where they are.

But Id say if I were to stubby it, I would take some measurments and put a sawzall to the stock bumper

I'm gonna have two inches on both sides that stick out from the frame so I could still put lights on.

Found some head light replacement housing that take bulbs for just 25$ online to replace the crappy low power replacement headlights. They look almost to pretty for my jeep but the lights are allot brighter. Will post pics soon

Wink what did I do today

I took the valve cover off of my 2.5 and took appart the breathers to get all of the gummed up sludge out of them, they were 90 percent clogged on one, and fully clogged on the small nipple. After I cleaned them up I painted the valve cover with high temp semi gloss black and then sanded down the ribs to have an aluminum color contrast to the black. I have already noticed a significant increase in fuel economy now that the blow by is breathing normal.

actually I did it last night

Put on my Pavement Ends bikini top. I was running without a top.
Installed a Curt 2" hitch receiver, eliminated my bumperettes.
Put on my $10 Bell (from Wal-mart.com) "water-resistant" seat covers... they are not.
Proceeded to rain over night and I got my first experience of a wet Jeep :-)
thinking I need a duster cover.
