What I did to my YJ today

So after my long list of things to do for my jeep, I finally got the sway bar disconnects installed. I haven't tested them but I have noticed the appearance to be much different. For some odd reason I feel like I can take on the world. I am stock, though I run on 31" tires so it makes me wonder. hmmm.... Anywho...I will be trying to find the bushings for the JKs telescopic tracbar I've acquired to install in the next few days. I have pictures just need to extract them from my phone.

Info on the dicos, it was a pain in the behind to remove them!! That's all I can say about that. Installation was a cinch and I cannot wait to go "flexing" soon.

As I mentioned before I have cleaned the carb and valve cover, they were covered in heavy grease and grime and oil and dirt and basically everything under the sun. I'll post pics tomorrow. I'm getting summoned by the woman to come to bed. It's 0230am. hmmm.... ;-)

This does not count as "today" but over the past three days I have installed a new exhaust manifold, power steering pump (pulley too), and a nice Clarion sound system. I've been quite greasy and had sweat dripping into my eyes the entire time.

Feeling quite accomplished.

Today I went to the local hardware store to buy 4 new bolts to install my new high flow cat. Also took a trip to AutoBlown and got a new catalytic converter gasket.

Might start my install of my high flow cat and flowmaster super 44 today :punk:

Took my throttle body apart, replaced my ISA, cleaned up TPS, and took a jeep that wouldn't start readily, and not idle at all to one that starts right up and idles. (once warmed up its idling a little high, but its running, and thats good enough for me for now)

PO Bizarro

Dropped the tranny to install new clutch set. Internal hydraulic actuator sprung a leak. Someone should start a thread to document bizarre things done by PO. Not that my work is perfect, mind you. Just shooting for mechanically sound.
If somebody wants to start a new thread, I'll repost this. Here's what my PO (a jan-yoo-wine rocket scientist) did for for every new accessory - added another wire and inline fuse. The yellowtop was covered by a web of fuses and wires. A Painless fuse block and a few hours of my time made my YetiJeep more electrically sound.:thumb:

Put my light bar in yesterday. not today, but yesterday. SOO much better sound coming out of those 2 4" speakers than the 8 home entertainment speakers I had in it before

Need to replace the dash speakers with something more powerful and she'll be set to go for partying.
