painted my front bumper and added some tow hooks today, apparently chevy stock truck tow hooks share the same bolt spacing as the yj...direct bolt on ftw! saved me alot of time/money.
i think the front bumper looks alot better now

before

after

i've gotta go over the tow hooks and take care of some of the "rust" on them...they're solid, i think it was just from the truck they came off of...lil close to the bumper but i like it, less likey for a tow strap to fall off.

Put in a new radiator today after the old one exploded. Guess I should have gone ahead and assumed a 17 year old radiator just needs to be changed when I bought the thing lol.

Actually it was kinda an emergency situation so I just overnight shipped a new radiator from Autozone and they just had one choice and can't remember the brand. I was driving home to San Antonio from Fort Stockton which is 5 hours and my radiator blew in the desert. I had to leave my jeep in Fort Stockton for a couple days and come back to put the new one in.

Not bad, with the cylinder out I kinda grip it like a T handle. Not real comfertable but looks cool, I wanted something unique.

Re-torqued the rockers, cleaned/gapped the plugs and put a new valve cover gasket on. Well, that was yesterday...

Yesterday I:

crawled underneath to fix my exhaust, only to discover that when I pulled on the driveshaft that the entire tranny, t-case, and engine shifted

Pulled the skidplate off expecting something to be broken, turns out the 2 bolts that bolt a bracket to the tranny had fallen out- one was resting on the skidplate, so i cleaned everything off and threadlocked the crap out of the bolt, then stuck it back in and torqued it down. Then put the skidplate back on.

Then I fixed my 4wd shift motor disengage problems (broken vacuum disengage line), threw it all back together then took it for the obligatory test drive. Everything was as tight as it should be

TODAY I went out with my CB radio and started scoping out areas to mount it. got frustrated then took the Jeep for the obligatory "chill out" drive after getting frustrated.

Over the past few weekends I have pulled the head and had it resurfaced. Then putting everything back together. Now on to fixing a few rust spots on the body.
