Today I got mixed up considering V8 swaps. Stuck between 305 tpi and Ford 5.0 while guys on pirate say 357. What are your opinions?

This is what i'll continue to do every day until I buy a motor and commit to the swap.

I'm doing a 5.3 vortec, I'd go with something that's dependable, strong and popular, lots of tech support and premade parts will make it alot easier, alot of people do the 5.0 don't they

I know a guy who put a Cobra motor in a CJ. The only thing was left of that CJ was a from axle. Everything else was supposed to be changed in order to handle all that power. I can ask him for help if you want?

The ax15 will handle a 302, and the power to weight ratio is good. That is what I am doing if a diesel ends up breaking the bank.

302 over 305 any day of the week. 225hp>180hp all day long. Dont use a truck or crown vic engine though. they were low output engines. Get an HO from a mustang or v8 explorer.

Won this on eBay today....... Can't wait until it arrives. It'll be black, rust free and looking like new when I'm done with it.

I haven't put the top on with it yet, but I planned it to work with the top. I have a Bestop Supertop and there should be plenty of room.
