My front drivers side brake caliper decided to seize up on me today while I was 50 miles from home. New calipers pads and rotors up front today.

I haven't put the top on with it yet, but I planned it to work with the top. I have a Bestop Supertop and there should be plenty of room.

also like the choice of guns, that lever action a 30 30?
and a 270 or 30-06?

My driver side partially seized a couple days ago and I drove 20 miles to get home down the highway anyway. It was smoking, glowing orange, and then caught fire when I got home. It was awesome! I ran for the garden hose and cooled it off. Did one new caliper, New power slot rotors, and new pads last night.

On that note...and I'm not trying to preach here. But having dealt with a couple vehicle fires, I recommend getting a little bit larger extinguisher. The mini ones are ok for mini fires, but run out too quickly. If you're looking to protect your engine & investments I'd recommend a 5# at least. The 2.5# extinguishers are usually what Jeepers get because of their easy to mount size, but it's usually not enough if you have a real fire.

Also, stay away from ABC type extinguishers. A sodium bicarbonate (or BC) type extinguisher won't ruin your engine like an ABC extinguisher.

I will post pictures later, but today I removed the bumpers, sanded, primed and painted them with bed liner. Taped off the plastic fenders, sanded them, primed them and painted them with bumper and trim paint. Detailed the engine compartment (yeah, I know... its a Jeep. But I want it to be clean at least once while I have it so I can take pretty pictures.)
On my way to pick up a Safari top, grab handles and maybe an alarm today. Left the top off last night and woke up three times thinking someone was stealing my Jeep.

Totaled a minivan and a mini cooper... But the YJ drove away with a small dent in the fender and some scratches on the bumper. Hahaha!

Are you sure you were in your YJ? Sounds more like you were driving a tank

There's a difference???? Terrible ride quality, loud, rough, bomb proof, and horrible gas mileage. Sounds like a tank to me.

Tonight I swapped a steering column from a 91 xj. I did this for the wiper delay. I was also able to fix my horn, my hi beam switch, and my blinker return. Can't wait for the rain now.....well I can!
