More info please but it sounds like you popped a vacume line off.

They go from a switch on the top of the transfer case to the front axle where the CAD system is with a single line going to the firewall to a switch that turns the light on and off.

On mine the lines all melted while trying to bend the exhaust so I went with the Posi-Lok cable system. But you can find posts on how to remove all of the lines, move the shift fork over thereby having the front axle always on, and replaceing the switch on the transfer case with one you can wire in.

I will look and post back.

SO today was install day for the new stereo and Tuffy over head console. Came out better than I had hoped. Not sure how people were claiming to hit their heads on this thing, Im 6'00" and couldnt bang my head on it withoug jumping out of my seat. It also gave me a place to hide my SOG hatchet within reach and gave me a place to put an overhead light.
Also finished wiring my new KC lights on the front end.
Here are some pics:

Today I put on a new billet alum shift nob. New rainX wiper blades changed the oil/oil filter/air filter and took out an empty bottle of gator aid that had been in the floor board on the passenger side for a few days!

1.) where do I buy that knob
2.) you seriously felt it necessary to tell us you removed a empty bottle from your jeep?

I know right where your profile pic is man. I go past that on my way to Tuckerton every year. You got some good trails down there.

I need to do this as well. And for anyone that has the same problem I do... if you install Halogen headlights, or headlights that draw more power than the stock headlights, your factory switch has a 'breaker' in it that will turn the headlights off and on, off and on. Your switch isn't bad, it's that the headlights are drawing too much power for the switch. Installing relays are the fix to this problem. And your headlights will be brighter.

Hey everyone, I put 4.88 gears in my 4 bangger 95 YJ last week.I took it out for some 4 whl low hill climbing, worked wonderfully. On road is great.no more down shifting up hills.I don't do so but i can take off in 2nd..I have a 2'' lift,33'' by 12.5'' tires,1.5'' wheel spacers. The wide tires and spacers make a big difference in handling,my racing seats and 4 point harness help alot too.no sloshing around like in factory seats. considering i don't have power steering,it leaks..lol (i fixed it stopped addig fluid,no leak) i'm ok with it..kinda like it better that way.turns way to easy on road with fluid.

Finally replaced the cowl / windshield seal today. Got tired of wet feet after rain. It was much easier than I thought. Everything I read said that the old one was hard to get off. Mine was not glued anywhere....just came right off after removing the screws. No rust anywhere. Windshield folded forward without any trouble too. Not bragging, I just got lucky when I bought this Jeep!
