Just got in my new leaf springs, fenders and drivers side door handle!
... Front bumper still on back order...
Hoping to get the leaf springs (and maaaaaybe the door handle - if i'm feeling ambitious) on in the next day or two and then I'll feel comfortable driving my baby again!

Oh! And she still needs a new battery which slammed forward into my jack and a few relays that got smashed up as well in the crash...

Went riding with a friend. Let her drive a little. She's never driven a stick before and only stalled it twice!

Ha ha ha...

Welders are so much fun though, I wish I could learn all over again. I just have a cheapo style Lincoln. But one day, when I Get some money as the story goes...
I learned how to weld on Uncle Sam's dime, mostly aircraft, but just personal stuff now.

I just got a 1975 Cherokee Chief "S" given to me by my Uncle Jimmy, He heard through my cousin I was building a Wrangler, and was lookin for parts. He lives in Minnesota, I'm by Chicago. I think it may have my axles in it..? It has a 360 and a 4 spd trans, I won't be using the engine or the trans, or body. It does have a title, but I haven't seen any pics since the 90's. I'm thinking...

if the frame and body are in good shape screw the YJ and build the FSJ. I want a full size jeep in a bad bad way, right up there with any type of corn binder.

Installed my new Superwinch10000. Also had the urge to take the Jeep out and test drive the new winch. Decided to "park" my Jeep in a mudhole and give it a spin (also greased the line while I was at it)

Ordering my RC 2.5 lift from Morris 4x4. Should I buy brake relocation brackets for the lift?

don't waste time and money on relocation mounts just get braided lines. Do it once and do it right

Don't waste your money on either one, extended lines or stainless steel lines, you don't need either.

The floors are really rotted out behind the rear wheels, but they said the frame was solid... P.M. me Irongrave... It has a title. I don't have a corn binder, but I may still have a diagram of a corn still I was trying to build in high school to suprise my science teacher down in Arkansas. LOL..!!!

Well, for my 2.5" I did need extended lines 'coz the original ones were like a guitar string when the axle was at its lowest. So, with that said I wouldn't be so sure there is no need for line modifications. I'd go with SS braided lines. I think mine are +4".

This is the best advice I've seen in this thread. Do it once and do it right.
Don't put in a stupid drop bracket when the right answer is to replace the line with the correct size for the application. Spend a couple of extra dollars and get the right part instead of trying to "make it work". Thank you Irongrave for that awesome contribution.

Shoelessboi... "Installed my snorkel."

LOOKING GOOD..! I dig the headlights too..!

I personally love the snorkel, I was wondering...
Could it be installed facing the rear..? That way mud doesn't splash into it... Just curious.

Maybe this worked......

Changed the oil, flushed the tranny, and took her for a drive. Made a huge mess with the transmission fluid! Tipped a bottle over while I was pumping it.
