Rear breaks, and wheel cylinders. Had to replace one of the steel hard lines also. Then turned all my interior lights green, gages included to match my paint.

Wish I had another vehicle so I could do this, my jeep would look so much better

Well, over the last month or so I have swapped in a previously loved 2.5, replaced front pads and rotors, bypassed the center axle disconnect, and a bunch of small stuff. Now that it is moving via it's own power, I decided it was time for springs and shocks(aka lift). Decided to swap my parts jeep front axle in while I was at it. I have less than 200 mi on this Jeep, and have sunk more cash into it than my XJ (I've had the XJ for 6 or 7 years). Hoping to get the springs and shocks installed this week. U-joints will have to wait until next week. Thank god it's not my D.D.

Well, I went up the mountain Friday night... came into town Saturday for some chow and when I got the ole girl onto the concrete the rear end had a funny shimmy in it.... I couldn't figure it out for the longest time. Finally noticed one DS rear U-bolt holding the spring pack to the axle had the nuts stripped out on it. NO IDEA how I did that. I'm reversed on the rear (8.8) so it's a mystery.

Took it to a local buddy's house nice & slow... we threw a band-aid fix on it. So I took a look-see at the spring eye bolt....

So, threw ANOTHER band-aid in there and headed off the mountain. Spent my Sunday in the shop & replaced everything plus the bushings in the rear-end with poly since I had already done it to the front a couple weeks ago.

Spring eye bolts are one of the things I dislike about leaf springs. Maybe I'm just too rough on the ole girl.

Lucky for me even tho this is my DD I have another vehicle to drive. Gotta love multiple vehicles in the household.

Got everything cleaned up and prepped, man the front axle u-joints were a PITA to get out, they were all rusted in place. Cleaned the mounting holes for the caps with a brass wire wheel and now they are shiney and clean. Now I just have to wait for the new parts, come on UPS!

Got my new engine mounts in the mail today, the new clutch master/slave combo should be in tomorrow and I need to get a new trans mount. Hopefully the cylinders will cure the sometimes hard shifting and the mounts will for sure fix the rough vibations when starting from a dead stop. I need to do the clutch and lift it eventually too. The throwout bearing is making noise.

Can't wait to get dirty on the jeep. So far I have only done general maintenance like oil changes and a tune up. Oh, I also need to remove the dumb fuel "chip" I found that the PO put on it. I get 16-17mpg now, will have to see what it does after removal. Probably the same...

rear 60 is in. looks like i need to do something about the gas tank and a new shock bridge. I also need to figure out how I'm going to mount up the front 60. Would love to stay spring under. Right now I have a 18.5inch frame rail height with 31in rollers so it would be prefect with the 37s right around 20ish aired down.

Took off the CRAP CARTER carb put on the MC2150. Cleared out a million miles of vacum hoses and other un-needed items.Changed the oil. Flushed radiator.

I'm not a fan of stingers they really don't do anything offroad unless tied into the frame and a full cage. But its your jeep

Just for looks right? The stock bumper wouldn't ever hold up if it's put to use. Stingers could push the brush back from your radiator area I suppose.

I cant say I agree with that. I was trying to go over a wall and up a hill last week that I would have made with a Stinger, but without one I couldnt get my bumper to go over it. They definitly help lift up your front end when trying to get your tires onto something that is high. Plus the way you can put them on a jeep they bolt right to the frame.

Pulled the steering column, new one on the way. Figured I might as well start the interior transformation while its out.

Duplicolor vinyl and fabric paint. Amazed at how good it turned out.

Looks GREAT, That's the same stuff I used in my old Bronco, just be sure you DON'T wipe it with Armour All, it will start to lift it off...
