Fellow Jeeper helped me out and let me use his shop to instal my Brown Dog motor mounts. I think its safe to say the old ones were past their prime. Brown Dog's made a world of difference! I even got to talk to the Dog himself about the best route to take with my YJ, plus anything with Old Glory on it is just cool.

Fixed my idle problem. Pulled the Venturi cluster out of the carb and reinserted the idle pickup tube that had fallen out. You can't see it in the picture, but posts are boring without pics!

Nah, went with the stock height. I recently installed a 4" RC lift with a transfer case drop. Now trying to fund my SYE to get rid of the drop.

Thanks Mike22. They're just 194 LED bulbs... You can get them in lots of colors. I think you'll need a total of 7 bulbs to do all gauges. I got a 10 pack of bulbs and did my front side markers too because I have clear lenses. Auto parts stores sell them, but Amazon has great deals on them

Last night I finally mounted my 4" monitor for my rear view camera. That thing is great for wheelin since I can't see through my 35" spare tire lol.. I mounted it over the blank gauge and it doesn't interfere with view of my fuel gauge and it's not like I'll be doing more than 60, so that doesn't really matter either. The monitor also swivels, just in case.

Put new serpentine belt on tonight. Eliminated the loud stretching on start up.

I also ordered some chrome inserts for the grill, chrome hood latches and chrome tie downs for windshield can't wait to get them on.

Good work! Getting a YJ to quit screeching can be tough. On a side note... Chrome wont get you home.

We will have to agree to disagree on that. But the great thing is that we all get to build our Jeeps to our own particular liking.

Very true. I can agree with you on that:-). Do you have a picture of your jeep? Didn't see one on your profile.

Replaced the front output yoke on my TC. Anyone know how to get the cap back on the U joints? I had no idea the PPPO put on a TC drop and was pleasantly surprised

You will have to put all of those little needle bearings back into the cap and very carefully put the cap back on making sure it is fully seated before you put the shaft back on. You don't want to crush a needle bearing that has slipped out of place when you put it back together. Not all that hard, just tedious.

The u joint is still connected to the drive shaft. One of the caps that hooks to the tc yoke popped off.

I would pull the shaft and work on it on a bench then put it back, makes it easier that way. When you get it off take some tape and tape the diff end so those caps don't come off first, then fix the cap that came off and put the shaft back on and you should be good. That help?

Played in the mud this morning. Then replaced mirrors, hood latches and windshield tie downs this afternoon. The paint was gone from the mirrors and the tie downs and hood latches were rusty.

Took it to the desert and wheeled it!!!

Itching to go back out sometime soon and really dig into the desert. Most of it was small berms and whoops, plenty to get the tires dry.
