Finally mod'd my front axle disconnect so its actuated by a choke style cable, was running it with the nylon spacer rig job but the front drive shaft spinning at 60 finally drove me crazy enough to do it. Also took the front track bar off. The driver side bolt was seized so I had to coax the grinder in there. Got in the jeep to drove home tonight and when i went to turn around in the drive way the steering wheel hit lock then kept on a going and going and going. apparently much to my dismay when the po replaced the intermediate shaft he neglected to completely tighten the sleeve that attaches to the steering box. Apologize for writing a a book but its been a very eventful night lol

What's on my agenda today:

1. play in the snow
2. install my new PIAA driving lights I got for Christmas
3. Install my new door speakers I ordered from Amazon. I wired one of them up last night to see how they would sound. I got them for dirt cheap on Amazon, so I assumed they would be below average quality and sound. But much to my surprise, they sound unreal. Here's a link to what I ordered. Not bad for 37 bucks. Amazon.com: Pyle PLG6C 6.5-Inch 400-Watt 2-Way Custom Component System: Car Electronics
4. play in the snow

I installed my locking center console that my wife bought me for christmas yesterday..

Nerf bars look good. How did the install go? Difficult?

No, not tough at all. Just drill the holes then screw them on with the bolts provided. I did have some trouble with one tedious bolt that wanted to keep going in side ways but it ended up giving in.

Wheeled it, Cleaned it and stuck things to it!!

Well this goes back a few days,

Christmas Day, Wheeled it in the new snow we got!!

Wheeled with Daughter in her 04 TJ

Today I went to town and hit a car wash then stuck these to it!! Had to start over with the stickers because I recently had it painted.

Those rebel jp decals are sweet ! Please link that. Today I went out and looked at it, then looked some more. Opened the drivers door and looked at the contour of the floor pan for a few as I'm thinking about seat risers. Decided it was cold out and turned on the comp.

Link to Confederate Rebel Jeep Decals. I had to seperate each letter with knife and install individually. No problems with them and they seem fairly durable.

Amazon.com: Jeep Window Decal Sticker - 5.5"x2.25" Confederate Jeep Exterior Window Decal: Everything Else

I pulled the sway and track bars of mine. Finally got under it and figured out I have what seems to be a 3.5 inch set of springs, sye and cv ds... Now I just need a locker and she will be ready to go til I get all my parts for a soa...

The pic in the dark is with track and sway bars. The pic during daylight is after I pulled them.

Wonder why the po kept the tcase drop on if they installed an sye/cv ds.. probably didn't shim the rear axle

Ya know I was thinking it looked like it still had a slip yoke but It definatley has a new driveshaft.?. Nice shiny black paint and one scratch... Why put a new ds and not go with cv and sye? Oy... Its been a few years since Ive messed with these things. Theres a few things Ive discovered on this rig that I dont understand what the po was thinking or doing... So the gap/light between the skid plate and frame are evidence of tcase drop or how could you tell? Edit- It is still a slip yoke. And a pretty hollow sounding ds. That aint gonna last long.lol
