Thanks i don't think that is your prob with the heat i run a 180 in mine and when started cold it would warm up to around 185 to 190 if just setting at idle but in the cold weather once i would start driving the temp would drop back down to around 100 to 110 and my heat would just barley blow warm so i did an old trick someone thought me and cut out a square piece of cardboard and stuck it down in front of my radiator and now it stays around 185 to 190 driving or setting at idle

I secured all my gear so next time I get rowdy I dont have to worry about taking a highlift to the elbow or my Pulaski going through the window. I need a roof rack... But this will have to do for now. I actually have a back seat again for the cooler!

BAP, have you tested the flow going through your heater coil? You may have dislodged some gunk during the pump/thermostat replacement that's restricting the flow of water through your heating element. That is if you're still getting up to good operating temps.

Had a buddy weld a piece of 1/8" steel to the top of my spare tire stop, then just drilled a hole for the Firestik stud mount and bolted it all in place.

Looks like I need to add some paint...

Not concerned with that. My CB is for talking with my buddies while we are on the trail, mainly for smack talking about their poor lines

Looks good. I have a 4' firestick I want to mount the same place. Was trying to think of ways to mount it there. That's a pretty easy way to do it. Thanks for the pics

thanks usmc, my temp gets to about 180 while warming up then drops to 110,,

i tried the cardboard trick to see if that would help,,it did,nt...

i get real good air flow but not much heat,,,,i just may go ahead and replace the heater core, after all it is a 92 and more than likely original,,,

thanks guy,s for all your input...

The mount that comes with the antenna will mount inside the spare tire bump and help keep it out of harms way which is how I did mine. I also mounted a flag holder at the same time in the same place, I will go out and snap a pic in a minute and get back to you.

WWOOPPSS, didn't drive my Jeep to work today! I will get a shot tonight.

Man it was too cold and windy to get the pic last night so I got one this morning. Here you go.

The red spring looking thing is the flag mount I installed as I had once planned on going to Pismo Beach and playing in the dunes.

Can someone Help me figure out what I'm supposed to do here maybe some tips because I'm the first time Jeep owner the jeep was sitting for three years. I ran gas through it about two times, I've checked the spark plugs look fine , I changed the oil. I really want to be able to drive my jeep it's been sitting around since I've had it for about four months and I can't really do anything until I pass smog

I'm assuming since it's a 1989, it still has the Carter Carb on it...big pain in the arse right there. Second, when's the last time the CAT was changed?
