The bit got me good! Haha! Probably stitched worthy... But I'm not a fan of ER visits. Haha!

Thanks on the carrier! Supposedly a 4 hr. install... With the injury did it in about 2. I'm LOVIN having a spare tire finally!

Got my winch installed. Now I am going to install a set of Rugged Ridge CJ style stainless steel mirrors. I got them for a great price from Jeep Hut. They were in the scratch and dent sale. I can't wait to get rid of those terrible factory door mounted mirrors!

That's so cool your daughter a wheeler! I bought my jeep because my 10 year old wanted one. We try to go out every chance we get. She digs driving.

I got a hold of Rick at "trailtubes.com". I sent him a "design" I came up with that had some gibberish and approx. measurements on it. He converted that into the photos you'll see below for my CJ fenders.
That is a compound curve in the transition area from the upward angle to the forward most point at the grille... He does AWEsome work..!
They are gonna look Killer on my puddle jumper, don't cha think..?!!!

Probably should start a new thread. All I'm saying is when you put the transfer case in 4H or 4L it should lock the front drive shaft AND lock your front differential or hubs. Both have to occur for 4H or 4L to work. If you can get the Jeep off the ground (jack stands or lift) you can start the Jeep and check everything. If you have stock diffs, you can jack up one side of the Jeep and check to see if everything is locking in.

Yeah I like the diagonal slant if the roll bar that the CJs have. He didn't like it, so we switched. He's going to make me a CJ dash too at some point. Hell, maybe I shoulda bought a CJ

That's how I started my CJ project... With a YJ, a 75 f/s cherokee, a 79 CJ and a bunch a parts...
Personally, I dig the CJ cage too..

She grew-up in the co-pilot seat of my airplane. So, if she had to take-up one of my hobbies, I'm glad she chose a less expensive one!

That makes no sense. All your TC case does is add power to the front by engaging the chain. Even if you chain broke you should be able to drive in 2WD while the shifter is in 4WD. If you have no movement in 4WD, but it drives in 2WD then I have no clue what could cause that. I have rebuilt quite a few NP231's.

A torch helps. I chop the old spring at the frame mount and free up a little wiggle room. Cut the u bolts too. Oh it's a good time to cut out the trac bars while your tires are out of the way.

Got a CJ grille with all the lights, hardware, trim pieces and wiring harness, a CJ hood, CJ fenders (with factory flares). Soft top frame kit and upper door halves (with zipper style windows), the top trim for the half doors, and soft top trim that goes along the top edge of the body tub.
Then ordered the Scosche Remote Level Control (volume knob) for the audio system installation (no stereo just an Ipod)

Thanx, and ROCK POINTS go out out to Shoney..! and to Steampunk..!

Hey Allen, we did very similar builds on our stingers. One thing that was suggested to me and I'll pass on to you is that you may want to think about putting some kind of support from the stinger to the frame rails in front of the grill. If you hit something hard enough or at just the right angle the stinger can fold up right into the grill and cause all kinds of problems. Here is mine and how I supported it...

I hope this helps...

Yep I noticed that and decided to make a complete grille guard then braced the stinger to it
