Painted my tube bumper I bought off ebay. It was rusted pretty good didnt mention that in description of the auction. I was able to get the rust off but had to weld some bad spots on it. I wont buy from that guy anymore.

I spent almost 3 hours rewiring the stereo from a mess of scotch-locks and crimp joints to properly soldered connection. I removed 2 of the 8(!) speakers the PO had going. I now have dash speakers, speaker pod, and sound bar. no more speakers cutting out and sounds great now.

Thanks for the blank check you wrote to the USA, payable with your life, HT2 BKB
That screeching sound , with out hearing myself could be the through out bearing, also check the oil in the trans. input bearing can make bad sounds sitting and then go away when the car is moving because other parts are rolling with it.

89 YJ Automatic transmission crapped out

I am looking to swap out the 4.2 / 3 speed automatic with a 1990 4.0/ 5 speed automatic out of a Cherokee. I like the idea of the throttle body FI but I'm wondering about the computers for the transmission and new motor. What kind of issues am I going to have?

Just do a 302 carb swap, much easier and cheaper and slot more power for ya.

They are located inside the ECM do a search on here ,I think I typed in ECM repair ,and found full directions on how to do it,but hopefully you will have better luck than I,I cant get my "check engine light" to go out, reset the ECM and everything, starts better ,and seems to run fine but light will not go away and no code comes up .Good luck.

Thanks! I got it off ebay for like $220....It is nice to get that heavy spare off the back gate. I also recently mounted my highlift jack on it as well.

Honest opinion since you asked. I don't like it. Sorry, black inserts don't look bad on white ones my buddy has them and they look good.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion on asthetics. Personally, I'd prefer a solid color vs multiple tones. Not including accents.

Unhappy

Arrg! Fuel pump went out on sat. Figured it out finally. Low pressure in fuel rail. Was throwing the map censor. Put a plug in the tube going to it and was able to drive it to my buddies garage. We dropped the tank. I now have a new fuel pump!
