SWEET! Those tires just set it apart.
... and how many vehicles have a tire named after them?

Yep. A coat is easier and more stylish than a soft top.

I fixed the snaps on my soft top with snaps from a craft store ($3 compared to Bestop's $15 kit) and stitched up some popped threads.
Still not putting it back on until I have to make a 10 hour trip in two months. Hopefully by then I'll have upgraded to a Softopper frameless.

new shackles

Finally got to spend some quality time with my Jeep this weekend. I installed the 1" shackles, touched up some paint scratches, and fixed my wipers (added the delay module that was missing).
Had to cut the rear bolts from the shackles. Factory puts them in the wrong way and you'd have to remove the gas tank in order to pull them out. What a pain!
... Hoping to take it to Uwharrie next month for some wheelin' ... finally!

Built some mounts for my high lift jack. Fits perfect behind the rear seat. also mounted my air-tank (white thing) under the rear seat.

Looks good. I also got mounts and figured that wa stone best place to install it. Did you just pull out the panels in the wheel wells to mount them?

Yeah. Easiest way was to take the wheels off and pull the plastic fender liner out. I just fab up the mounts.

Finally got the YJ out of storage from winter...last fall had Eaton E-lockers installed front and rear, and the Warn gas tank skid was just put in last week (was having a custom one fabbed, but the price of steel and labor was more than I could get the Warn, which is pretty nice). Gained an inch of clearance and more durable than stock.

Cleaned up out of storage...

Warn gas tank skid is pretty beefy...

Eaton E-locker switch install...

Tarby, what did you do to cap the front of your factory flare/running boards ?
Looks like and extension from the opposite side. I assume you had to cut it down to fit ?

Correct on the opposite side statement. I actually bought a set of new short flare extensions for each side, measured, cut them, then drilled them and attached them with push pins...like the kind that hold your wheel liners inside wheel wells. I like the factory flare...they keep alot of stuff from flying up at you and they are pretty durable. I have wadded them up a few times and they flex right back and go into place.

Removed my TJ fender flares (sorry they've already been claimed) and trimmed my fenders (until I can afford some metal cloaks) and worked a little more on my winch mount. I also noticed my starter wire looked like it was hanging on for dear life and didn't have much left in it so I replaced it with a new 4ga wire.

Halfway there..

Old starter wire

I had a tornado shelter installed in the floor of the garage. Seats 8 people and makes a great pit for working on the Jeep! And if it tornadoes, bonus!!!

I can so hear my wife saying the same thing.. I dont think I dare unless I want to also install running water, toilet and kitchen because that is where I would probably be living.
