I swapped in a newish steering column. Now my hazards, ignition, brights all work. Need to get a new grant steering wheel install kit so the horn will work.

No more aftermarket ignition switch!

Got the 4wd, hibeam, and signal indicators working and fixed my right front sidemarker light as well.

The PO really did half ass work on some things.....

Slowly, its getting better!

Even thought it was 2 days ago. Finished my clutch and put a new muffler on. The took it wheeling. Always good to put your brand new clutch in some mud.

The Warn 9k I have has been heavily used and is still strong. Almost every jeep I see with a winch has a warn.

Thanks, much appreciated. I thought the Warn winch would be the best choice. I have seen where some are submersible/waterproof. Are the non-submersible winches a problem when hitting mud holes, etc. ?

Non submersible are very durable and can get dunked for a few seconds. It is the solenoid that you have to worry about. I mounted mine under the hood.

Added 4" lift and M/T wheels and tires 33 x 17's. adapted a tj front bumper. Sanded down hardtop and cleared it. Looks decent. A little shiny but better than previous chalky look.

Went out yesterday with the club and went up Goler Wash, over Mangal Pass and into Butte Valley, perfect way to test out the new seats. The seats are great, way more cushion and so much more comfortable that the stock seats were, made the long day very enjoyable. Left the house at 7am and got back at 530pm and the wind was horrible! I had to drive in 3rd gear all the way from Trona to Ridgecrest!
