So after my long list of things to do for my jeep, I finally got the sway bar disconnects installed. I haven't tested them but I have noticed the appearance to be much different. For some odd reason I feel like I can take on the world. I am stock, though I run on 31" tires so it makes me wonder. hmmm.... Anywho...I will be trying to find the bushings for the JKs telescopic tracbar I've acquired to install in the next few days. I have pictures just need to extract them from my phone.

Info on the dicos, it was a pain in the behind to remove them!! That's all I can say about that. Installation was a cinch and I cannot wait to go "flexing" soon.

As I mentioned before I have cleaned the carb and valve cover, they were covered in heavy grease and grime and oil and dirt and basically everything under the sun. I'll post pics tomorrow. I'm getting summoned by the woman to come to bed. It's 0230am. hmmm.... ;-)

Over the weekend I installed new brakes on the rear end with all new parts. Drums, wheel cyclinders, shoes, small parts kit including the adjusters, etc. Now my brakes feel good again. No more mushy brakes all due to the brake material falling off the shoes on the passanger side!

It was not without a few hickups of course but got it done. I will tell you, if you put the adjuster in the wrong place on the shoes you can't for the life of you get the drum on! That and on the drivers side the fitting to the wheel cyclinder would not stop leaking fluid so I talked to my mechanic friend and he said "once you think you have it tight enough tighten even more" which I thought was nuts but hey it worked!

Time for a ride!

Installed a Warrior Mesh Breezer Bikini Top today. Although I'm usually topless the mid-day Florida sun can really roast you alive somedays. I'm very pleased with the Warrior product.

Been searching/asking no-stop for three days now about how to fix both my turn signals and hazards. If I can't figure this out I might have to go to a mechanic. :'(

That Jeep sure looks familiar. Now where have I seen an OD green YJ with an EGA on the front fender? I know I've seen one somewhere.

Nice Jeep, Florida! Semper Fi!

I owe you Cubby. It just finished off the theme perfectly.

Thanks. For me it was was an entire lifetime ago. When I got back things were very different than they are today. That said, serving is still one of the greatest privileges of my life. Be safe Marine.

I know this might not be the place to ask sorry but I need to know fast and thought since everyone looks at this thread people would give me an answer so my yj was carbed and the motor blew would a fuel injected motor work in it? If not why? And what if i changed the intake over from my motor to the other would that work?

If I had to make a guess, I'd say the long block would work with your old intake. With The whole engine you would need to change the fuel system due to the fuel injection, and would need the computer out of a FI YJ.

I think.

Just passed the driving test! I asked the examiner "How many manual rigs do you test in a week? About 2 to 3. What about Jeeps? None." = priceless.
