I think I paid around 125$ for all the lights wiring connectors and grommets for the flush mount

Looking for a 37-tooth speedometer gear for my Jeep...I found them online, however looking to just pick one up in my local area of Fayetteville, NC. Anyone know where I could look...Wilson doesn't have them...

What I did to my YJ today

First time Wrangler owner. '93 YJ Dark Blue with Cream Hard Top. Ordered door pulls, spare tire cover, entry guards, nerf bars, thumb screws for quick release for the hard top. Bought new spark plugs, wires, rotor, and everything needed for oil change tomorrow. Going to rest now. Debit card is tired.

Well tried fixing one of the oil leaks. It appears that the po never put the gasket between the distributor and the block. So I spend a whopping $2 on that and fixed one leak. It appears that there still is a leak toward the back of the motor. I'm thinking it will probably be the rear main seal. I'm going to try and oil change and see if the filter has a double gasket. I'll hopefully get to this sometime this week. On a better note I ordered this today:

Bestop® 39440-15 TrailMax II Fold and Tumble Black Denim All-Vinyl Rear Bench Seat for 55-95 CJ5, CJ7 and Wrangler YJ : Amazon.com : Automotive

Right now I have the stock grey back seat with black vinyl front seats. I'm trying to get the interior to somewhat match. I dont think they are the same brand but this is similar to what I have for front seats so I'm hoping it will look ok.

Corbeau Baja XRS Suspension Seat, Black Vinyl (Pair) COR-96601

with this console:

Rampage 31515 Denim Black Locking Center Console : Amazon.com : Automotive

What I'm doing to my 91 Jeep Wrangler!

Hi everyone,

I am new to the forum, and new to the World of Jeeps! When I was 18 (1976), I asked my dad to help me get my first car. I picked a Golden Eagle and man it was a thing of beauty, but my dad would not co-sign on it. Well the years past, I got married, kids came along and my desire to own a Jeep went quietly by the wayside. This year, I found a really solid 1991 Red Wrangler and I pulled the trigger. The first person I called was my dad back in Memphis and told him that at long last I owned a Jeep! Next week I am turning it over to J.R.'s Restoration to give it a nice face lift. He is going to spray Rhino Lining underneath. Just in time for a local car show!

Here are a few pictures of my Jeep!

Pulled out the back seat today, (of course I broke two bolts grrrr), and started unbolting the front seats. Took out the console as well. Hoping to do the floor this weekend weather permitting. Then hoping to install the new back seat and new console. Seat came in today of course UPS showed up just as I was leaving for work. Oh well cant complain too much only took a couple of days to get the order.

As many of you have probably figured out by now - I'm kind of long-winded... I just friggin' love talking Jeep and especially about my Jeeps. So bear with me, y'all....

Last night at work I decided I was tired of getting in the passenger side to open the drivers side door. I've had a replacement handle since a week after it.broke (mid winter) but didn't feel like changing it until it got warmer again...

Here's what my handle was doing... And its in pretty rough condition right now - I came out to my YJ from work a couple years ago when I used to work days and there was what appeared to be a dark soda ( dark brown syrup dots by the time I got to it) sprayed all over my driver's side and part of my hood leaving light speckles on my paint (can kind of see i in the bottom right part of the picture by the key hole) and completely eating the paint of the handle and on the key guard thingy there where the dots were... :

Attachment 247468
The handle would just freely move around... When I cracked open the door I discovered that the metal piece that moves in conjunction with the handle had bent (happened once before on the same handle). I decided to save myself the headache of the handle change - did it to both handles when I fixed her up and its a PITA - and bend the piece back again... Appears to be working fine again. We'll see how long it lasts!

Here's it bent back in place... I didn't even think to take a picture before I bent it and didn't want to risk breaking it by bending it back to where it was. For those curious - it'd basically somehow popped to the other side of the black metal piece which connects to the lever that let's to teeth on the door pop open.
Attachment 247472

I have new fenders and a passenger mirror along with a front end repaint to do in the future so I figure that'll be the time I do the handle - or when I finally, actually breaks - since they're more vanity things as well. Currently waiting for some glue to dry on the panel for some loose fabric before I put everything back together.

Changed my tranny fluid today from the 90W that was in there to 10W30. Man o man what a difference, I had only moved forward enough to shift to second and it just slide into place. No more fighting to get it into second. NICE!

Then I drove it for 20 minutes in all of the lights and stop signs I could find and it shifted better than it ever has. I did a lot of reading about doing this and I have to say, do not hesitate to do this, it is amazing!
