When he returned about 5 minutes later (literally, I was watching my clock) he did a complete walk-around of my YJ BEFORE coming to my window again. When he gave me back my information I asked him AGAIN why he pulled me over and he hesitated and then said: "I'm going to issue you a ticket for equipment violation" I was shocked and asked him what the problem and he said that my windshield wipers were in violation. I asked him how they were in violation and he said that wipers can't be in your window and I said that's what stock YJ wipers were like - then activated the wipers and showed him thay worked and that's just where they stopped.

Then he said, well, I'll give you a verbal warning for those. Then I argued that how can he give me a verbal warning if there's nothing wrong (I know, I shouldn't have argued) and then he paused and looked around the inside of my YJ through the window and then said: "I'm issuing you a verbal warning for your license plate placement." This p!ssed me off and I said: "What's wrong with my license plate? I've had it in the exact same location for 10 years and have been pulled over and even been in an accident and not a single person has said anything to me about it" to which he replied: "Well, you need to move it to the bumper" I gave up at this point because he OBVIOUSLY was just looking for something to say after most likely pulling me over for nothing.

Argh...
Generally license plates have height restrictions, so unless the height of the plate was higher than is allowed, then you have done nothing wrong and you should probably contact the department about this issue. always take badge numbers for this reason...

According to this, you did nothing wrong:

I went to put my soft top down, and 3 snaps broke off on the passenger side

Does anyone make replacement snaps?

Added a couple of spot mirrors on my half door mirrors. Cheap mod paid about $4 but one of the best things I do to my vehicles. I hate blind spots.

Also changed the oil sending unit and the oil.

Went wheeling, got some tall grass wrapped around the rear DS and burned up my pinion seal.

Had to leave in the middle of wheeling to rush home, hop in the other car and head to Napa to get the only one in the area..

Can I see a few closer photos of the flares? I'm thinking of building a set.
