Received, modified and installed my Select Increments Versa-Pods. I needed another 1/8" in the radius to fit my 4" Bose speakers. Since they're designed to go wherever, all holes needed to be drilled for cables, mounting the versa-pods, and mounting the speakers into the containers themselves. I haven't been able to get any bits through the metal base of the dash, so I just used the existing holes to throw them under there the way I did with my CB in place of the ash tray. I must say I wish there was a less expensive alternative, but since they're the only product I've found like it I'll say they're already worth the seventy bucks their dealers charge (minus military discount.)

I thought about doing that but wasn't sure how I would like the color or how bright they would shine off of the orange!! My dash lights look so much brighter with just the orange paint! I guess I could buy one and try it out and see what it looks like.

Used an ammo can to make a speaker box/ storage area on top of the wheel well. Not 100% finished but I'm liking it!

Looks great! I thought about adding one to each wheel well for more storage but thinking I want something a little bit shorter.

I wanted it visible from the outside, I'm gonna paint some creative stencils on there for people to read. Plus the color really works with the jeep color.

As far as storage, I netted about half the can of usable space. I'm gonna do another one on the driver side and a mini ammo can under the dash behind the shifter.

Never thought of using the space behind the shifter. What a great idea!

I have a question for you guys....... and girl, what is your thought about a sound bar? Have you ever used/owned one and what are the pros/cons about them? I'm asking because I hate having to blast my dash and rear speakers just to hear a little sound with no doors and topless. I found one with Infinity Speakers and is $100.

I have one in my Jeep I love it!! The dome lights aren't bright but it does help with sound I think. I used to have a big speaker and amp in the back of the jeep until the other day I left too down and rained now nothing will work

If you have your top off all the time, it is worth it to hear just about any music. I had 2 Bose waterproof speakers mounted to the back wheel well, they worked good, however I'm looking format decent soundbar now

Installed a new set of plugs and replaced the TPS. Still having a surge issue and now I'm going after the fuel system. Thinking maybe a regulator or fuel pump problem. idles good and works OK when mashed to the floor. Surges through acceleration.

As yall probably figured with the ammo speaker box I'm kinda a gun nut! So I decided to add another free touch!

I took 2 44 mag cases and glued them over the the metal rods that hold the door straps on.

I guess I'll have to post each picture separately

Locked my CAD using a piece of Diff. breather hose (the parts store guy assured me it would hold up - and he gave it to me for free from their "scraps") and eliminated all the vac lines and plugged all of the places they ran to and from.... And eliminated all the BS sensors and what-not that aren't needed anymore...

Attachment 263808

Attachment 263809

I jacked up the rear before removing the CAD housing and barely lost any diff fluid. It was such a small amount that when I had it all finished and put the rear back down and pulled the diff. plug, the fluid was still pretty much topped off so I didn't need to add any fluid - though I had fluid ready... I put the entire Jeep up on jack stands and tested the 4WD and it appeared to work flawlessly.

Oh look at you being a mechanic and what not good on you for locking up though now you need a locker.
