OH! I should also mention I'd been waiting for my oil to go down for MONTHS (a little after winter started when I got her running again) now and it ad finally gotten about 1/6th down from the full mark - so I added about 3/4 of a quart of transmission fluid to the oil (brought it up to the full mark) to see if that would cut down on my "tapping" I'm hearing from the valve cover... I plan on an oil change in a week or two - so if it doesn't calm down by then I'll be opening up the valve cover and replacing all the parts in there.

I highly recommend just a LSD in the rear. It gets me through most everything I've put it through.

Trying to order new shocks for my jeep and I was never really told how big a lift it had when I bought it. Is there anyway I can figure this out?

I went through the same issue. Did you get any paperwork on it from the PO? I found a greasy, fingerprint stained installation book from Rancho & called Cust Svc. The guy on the phone asked a couple if questions and determined I have a 2 1/2" suspension lift.

No I didn't get any paper work with it. It will fit 33's if that helps any. Sorry for stupid ? I'm new to all of this. Found a set if springs that are for 1-4" so guessing that will be my best option.

Lubed the hood latches so they don't squeak as they bounce. It's like a ninja jeep now.

Measuring frame height might be the best. What size tires? and what kind of flares.

Those just look like extended stockers, and I'd say about 3-3.5 is right

Brought home my MY YJ from the shop today rolling on an 8.8 with rear disc brakes. Throw in the SOLID rear diff cover for some swag.

Now I'm ready for some 33's or, who knows, maybe even some 35's.

Aww, hell! Maybe, I'll just drive her again for a while.

Edited: I should probably say, maybe I'll just watch my daughter drive her away again. Hard to resist the, "Daddy! Can I take the Jeep?"

Have pics with 35's on it?

-----------

I worked on my POS ZJ yesterday. Dropped the old bent axle out (passenger tube is bent back about 1/4"), stripped it, stripped down my buddies old D30, swapped the 3.73's into it, swapped the ABS friendly steering knuckles onto it, painted the diff cover, filled with gear oil, threw it into place. Which of course took another hour and a half, and I still have to go back through and re-tighten everything.

How I loathe coil springs

I just want my poor YJ back!!!

added a winch and bracket

I put my quadratec winch on and built a winch mount. Its my first welding project I think it turned out pretty good

I thought I had pictures of the winch on and better pictures of the build but I guess not. I will take some and get them added.

Just patched a crack in my snorkel. Glad I got fiberglass instead of plastic. Those trees come out of nowhere!

I bought this one. Banged it off a couple trees so it needed repairs. I still have to paint the repair. I love it though. Fit perfect and its good quality.
