UPS just showed up and dropped off a pump I ordered. The extension tube is great for reaching the transmission fill hole. Any guesses on what I'll be doing on Saturday?

Made some door stop straps with 20' of paracord. Remove the two screws from the door and it can be used by just pulling the end.

May change them and do a quick deploy braid instead.

Anywho...I will be trying to find the bushings for the JKs telescopic tracbar I've acquired to install in the next few days. I have pictures just need to extract them from my phone.

Info on the dicos, it was a pain in the behind to remove them!! That's all I can say about that. Installation was a cinch and I cannot wait to go "flexing" soon.

As I mentioned before I have cleaned the carb and valve cover, they were covered in heavy grease and grime and oil and dirt and basically everything under the sun. I'll post pics tomorrow. I'm getting summoned by the woman to come to bed. It's 0230am. hmmm.... ;-)

Get some spacers or aftermarket wheels with a shallower backspacing. Spacers are good, but if you wheel hard, one might snap. Rare, but it happens. When it does, things like snapped axles happen.
What I am saying is if you do go with spacers, torque them down hard and retorque them periodically.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to the family!

First thing I recommend you getting is the Haynes manual. Invaluable when it comes to working on actors items. Next, make more money...cause you'll be spending alot!

Thanks! I can hope that everyone is exaggerating the money they put into their rigs, but if anything I would bet they are rounding down!

The reasons I work: Make money to buy stuff for my YJ and have enough left over to pay for a place to sleep and food to eat, so that I can be well rested and nourished to work on my YJ.

If she hangs you by your balls, make sure your hanging over the engine compartment, so you can still get some work done!

Found this in my Air Force tech. Order and thought it was perfect for my yj. NOTE: UNDER NORMAL OPERATING CONDITIONS, ENGINE MAY SEEP OIL DUE TO VIBRATION . SEEPS NOT IN EXCESS OF THREE DROPS PER MINUTE PER OIL SEAL, O-RING OR CONNECTION IS ACCEPTABLE AND IS NOT CONSIDERED A LEAK.

I know everybody hates front track bars, mine was sliding around in the bracket.
put Moog urethane bushings in it used fine threaded grade eights and cranked em down really tight. It tracks so much better on the road I can't believe it. Mind you my track bar is parallel to the axle. Next is the 6 inch pitman drop which will bring the drag link parallel to the axle also, goodbye bump steer. I have about 6 inches of lift with 35 Grabbers.

Let's see... doors off, mirrors moved and got the 33x12.5 TOYOs balanced and mounted.

New LEDs on order. Replacing the 2x3s (to small) with 4x6s. Will put them at almost the same physical size as the headlamps.

Getting ready, cooler temps on the way... the wife and I are wildlife photographers and will soon be headed deep into the wetlands of south FL

Brought my YJ back home after 6 years. I sold it to my brother when we built our house with the understanding that I had first shot when he let it go. Now I just have to fix about $3K worth of stuff he's neglected or broken over the years... Door panel, window crank, windshield wipers, cracked windshield, steering column.... Damn projects.

Here she is in all her mis-matched tire faded paint glory- so it begins, again.
