lol i hate that.... it would happen without a console even being there. im gonna work on a way to secure it. the Console came with straps that bolt to the console and holds the seatbelt next to the console. only problem is its situated too far back on the console and doesnt help at all. i think i'll just drill another hole and move it forward

Hmmm. Pulled my trans for the 4th time in 4 years to replace O-rings in the slave cylinder. 1st time was because the PO never put them in (I got it not running). 2nd time was because the u clips popped out. 3rd and 4th time were for deteriorated 0-rings.

Can't wait to find an external slave bell-housing and related parts....

Just keep working on your Jeep. Eventually you wont notice it anymore.

That job is next on my list. Was it pretty straight forward? Did you do the tank straps while you were in there? Figured I might as well, they are only few more bucks to add to job.

Yea while I was working on her I did not notice it. I went to touch the rails on my stairs in the house and was like wow I'm pretty dirty. I got most of the dirt off, but the nails.

It was hard because I decided to be lazy and not move my truck to a flat surface and the tank was full lol. Meanwhile, I had to maneuver one side down at a time because it was hitting my exhaust on the right and the frame on the left. I used a floor jack to help move the gas tank. Other than trying to get it to wedge out and back in, it's pretty easy.
I did not even think about the straps. I prob should have done it.

I just filled my tank too because I don't trust the gauge. I'll try to empty the tank a bit before I tackle it. Fortunately it's not my daily driver and can take my time.

Lmao, no thieves or vandals come anywhere near my house because everyone for miles around know I am "armed and dangerous." Instead of house alarm stickers in my windows I have my NRA membership stickers and one that says, "The owner of this property is armed, there's nothing inside worth risking your life for!"

Took my soft top off to trace/fix some rattles. Found sound bar poorly mounted and banging around. Discovered the soft top hardware/frame is just a mess: bent, broken, missing pieces. Looks like PO put new top on crappy old frame. Also found latch for rear seat had a lot of slop, causing seat to bang up and down over bumps. Wedged some rubber blocks under the feet to stop the play for now. Will. Look for a permanent solution later, maybe I'll just take the seat out? Tomorrow I'm going to tackle the front and rear track bars.

I found my YJ sitting in a garage a few months ago. As I progressively review and upgrade the Jeep, I found something disturbing. I found out that something had made a nest in the air box. I found feathers and other miscellaneous "crap" in there. So, knowing that there are folks here that are going to chastise me for this, I installed a KN cold air intake on it today. I don't have any unrealistic expectations. I do like the extra rumble I get when I get on the gas though.

Had Mike install the MC2100 on my baby last week. Huge improvement from the Carter, by far. Watched him build the carb from the ground up, and I gotta say he knows his stuff! Great guy, all around folks. And will do anything to help ya.

Used some bonus money to order parts. Nothing fun though. Ordered a steering shaft, gas tank skid, and stereo bracket.

Redid toe in, and cleaned rotors, greased caliper slides. Jeep was pulling to one side, hopefully that fixed it. I will know when I drive it in the morning.

Pulled the crank out of my 4.2, completely dissembled my 4.0 block for cleaning and inspection.

My one car garage is getting crowded with my jeep, quad, riding lawn mower, two dissembled motors, a hoist, an engine stand, tools, and the tranny and tcase from the jeep all sharing the space.
