Hyline, To save money I ordered it raw and had a local shop powder coat it for me. A lot cheaper than buying finished. I preferred Hyline because it came with a metal template instead of paper like Spyder, Use the window tie down bracket to mount the template in proper position.

I replaced the carburator on my 89 yesterday. The most I had ever done to a vehicle before was replace spark plugs, so this is a big deal to me!!!

That's how you save money for other jeep things. Oil change is now half the price.

Lol, the trail I went on was called The Crusher. Ive done the Rubicon, ive made two trips to Moab, and the crusher is by far the hardest trail ive done. I also took whats called the easy line.

I feel lucky to be able to go. It cost alot in fuel as I drive my jeep there. Also I feel overly built for both areas. Guess if I try some of the harder stuff at moab I might not. Ive done Hells Revenge, Moab Rim just to name a few.

Uuugh! SO LUCKY!!! Personally, though I know its not intense, I wanna do fishn'things (or something like that) watched many videos on it and it just looks like and awesome peaceful yet fun trail. Nothing really to break the jeep on.. and just relaxing with amazing scenery... im sure others are as well. And im sure ive seen many other trails I dont remember the names to. That just seems to be the one that sticks out to me..

I drive 1030 miles to Moab im looking to have and not thrash my jeep as I need it to drive me home. Fins and Thingd is an easy trail lots of steep smooth climbs and down hill section. A must do if you ever get down that way.

Word! Thats how I thought it looked. My main goal in wheeling is to have fun, see amazing scenery, and NOT break anything... if I went to MOAB, it'd be at.least a week that I'd stick around... maybe two. Dont even care if I just do the same trail over and over... the place is just so friggin amazing looking! I dreamed of.MOAB before I even knew about it...

I started out planning on replacing my turn signal switch, but screwed up the ignition switch linkage and ignition cylinder trying to disassemble the column. I figured out pretty quickly that I wasn't going to be able to fix it so I jumped on CL and found a steering column about 45 minutes away for $25. Went and picked it up, but it was a tilt column for an automatic that has the shift lever and linkage removed. I wasn't sure it would work, but I bought it anyway. Took about 30 minutes to install it and to my surprise everything works. Should have been a simple job ended up taking all day, but at least now I have tilt!

I officially started my '88 project!

I ordered the Prothane 1" body lift to replace the s****y 3" body lift and shot factory bushings on it now. I was going to take it back to factory height (no body lift), but no one place online had everything I needed/wanted, so I would've had to order from 3 different places. The Prothane kit comes with everything and I don't have to reuse any of the factory parts, so I decided to go that route.

I drilled frame drain holes and power washed inside the frame as best I could. I'll hit it again a few times this week.

I degreased and power washed the whole underside of the Jeep.

I soaked every suspension and body mount bolt with PB Blaster... Twice. I'll be spraying them again every day until I get all the new parts ready to go on. I also hit the bolts for the nerf bars that are on it now. They'll be coming off and getting thrown away this week.

I tried to adjust the parking brake cables. Didn't work. They're completely seized-up, so I ordered new ones. When they get here I'll probably do a complete rebuild on the rear brakes while I'm in there anyway.

Now I'm shopping for shackles. Time to start a new thread!
