Brown Santa brought me my Rigid Dually flood beams today. I'll use them in conjunction with my PIAA HID spot beams on the windshield. My battery is pretty weak due to it sitting so long so the HIDs weren't near as bright as they should be but the Rigid's sure shined! Absolutely love them.

Nothing today, or the rest of this month. Had to blow the rest of this months jeep budget to fix a leaking water main in the basement. Damn, plumbers are expensive!

Thanks man and yes they are super bright! I use an app called Pic Jointer. There's quite a few different ones but I like that one.

Well,it's finally on the road. I got my plates and am finally able to put some miles on my '92 YJ. So far it seems to be running ok after sitting for 7yrs. I'll put a few miles on it then get it out for Pa safety and emissions inspection

It's not finished yet, but I started mounting the high lift I picked up at HF yesterday onto my tire carrier. I'll do a full write up on this later too.
Starting with this end piece from a warehouse shelf end.

Drilled...

Tapped...

Test fit....

Burned on a mount bolt...

Put it all back together for the night...(it's about 1 a.m.)

Used a sinch strap to hold the top till I can get the upper mount cut and bolted on tonight...

I sprayed my body mount, suspension, nerf bar and exhaust bolts with PB Blaster again today.

I ordered a complete (manifold to bumper) exhaust for it. I just bought OEM-type, Walker replacement parts.

Other than that, I'm just anxiously checking FedEx and UPS tracking numbers for all the other stuff I ordered!

Found what sounded like a vacuum leak was actually coming from the intake/exhaust manifold gasket. Was pissed I had to replace it since it is such a pain in the ass job, then realized the two bolts closest to the firewall had come a turn or two loose. I tightened them and it shut right up. Also replace the fuel filter and rubber lines, as well as closed up all the harnesses I had open and wired it all back together. I also killed that damn upshift light. No more telling me when to shift now.

i spent all day sunday replacing the water pump on my 93 2.5 litre. it had been making a pinging noise and finally went. i found the most difficult part of the project to be getting the power steering pump off in order to get to the water pump. a new pump, coolant, flush kit, seal, engine degreaser and hand cleaner was all 98 bucks. runs great now, stays under 210 at all times.

Ordered a 4"RC lift, 4:88's & full rebuild kits for both toothpicks. Also found a good deal on 5 soft 8's locally. Gonna start doing some basic maintenance on it this weekend, in preparation for winter.

The best part? The wife is on board. She's excited about the Jeep, thank God.

Replaced dash lites with blue LEDs. Not as bright as I have seen on this forum. I bought the bright lites from jtech. Would the white gauge faces make the lites dimmer?

is your dimmer switch all the way up? Not being a jerk, mine wouldn't really dim, they were either all the way, half way, or off.

Ordered some replacement part for the soft top, and new sun visors. I'll install new gas tank skid as soonas I run some gas out the tank, got about a half tank now.

Started making repairs to the soft top frame.
Replaced the plastic fittings holding front hoop to door channel. All six were FUBAR. replaced them with slightly larger friction fittings. Originals were small and weak looking.

Another question: should the rear hoop set into the notch on the channel when up (see pic). I'm assuming it should.
I also need to repair the little mounts for the spreader bars. The rivets are loose or missing.
I've ordered new windshield pillars and retaining clips. Hopefully this will all this will keep the frame operable until my budget allows for a new frame and/ or top.

Broke the left rear upper shock mount this weekend. It needed some welding so I took it to the local shop (I really need to learn to be a better welder) where they took care of the YJ. Putting Bilstein 5100's on tomorrow....my old shocks were way past the point of no return...

These are what mine looked like. If I hit a cigarette butt it would jar your fillings loose.

OH MY GOD!!!

You weren't kidding that even a ciggy butt would knock teeth around! I have (had) ten year old doetsch shocks that are simply dead. I am looking forward to the Bilstein 5100's.
