So after my long list of things to do for my jeep, I finally got the sway bar disconnects installed. I haven't tested them but I have noticed the appearance to be much different. For some odd reason I feel like I can take on the world. I am stock, though I run on 31" tires so it makes me wonder. hmmm.... Anywho...I will be trying to find the bushings for the JKs telescopic tracbar I've acquired to install in the next few days. I have pictures just need to extract them from my phone.

Info on the dicos, it was a pain in the behind to remove them!! That's all I can say about that. Installation was a cinch and I cannot wait to go "flexing" soon.

As I mentioned before I have cleaned the carb and valve cover, they were covered in heavy grease and grime and oil and dirt and basically everything under the sun. I'll post pics tomorrow. I'm getting summoned by the woman to come to bed. It's 0230am. hmmm.... ;-)

Well after 2 long days of hard work, I finally got the old catalytic out and replaced it with a new Flowmaster cat, Flowmaster Super 44 muffler, and a new Walker tailpaipe. That was a tough first job on the Jeep, it had the original cat on from the factory fused to the head pipe.

Had to do this job without dropping the skid plate since the PO welded the skid plate to the chassis. I had to cut the head pipe with a Dremel cut off wheel ( took like 12 of them lol...) So after 2 full days of work, 6 trips to the auto parts store, $200, a 12 pack of beer, and a few rum and Cokes, I am finally happy, it sounds and runs great!

you should cut off the skid and replace it with an aftermarket one

Finally did a real shack down on the hwy. I get 10 miles to the gallon in the city, driving like a grandma, and score a whooping 21 mpg on my way to Philly doing 50-55.
On the way back, I did 55-60 instead, it felt easier and I'm gladdly surprise the Heep can go faster without having to step on the pedal like a gorilla, result 22.5 mpg.

Jeep (95 2.5L) is bone stock, down to the radio, half doors and soft top on. Still chasing some gremlins though.

Got my baby all cleaned up, err I should say got the first layer of filth removed. I don't think the PO cleaned it... EVER. After pressure washing the engine and undercarriage I sat her the front yard and commenced cleaning her inside and out then went through 4 cans of WD40. Next is to replace the distributor cap, rotor, coil, wires, and plugs. I got the Screamin Demon kit from performance distributors so instal will commence as soon as the sky decides to stop raining on my parade. Pics to follow install. Has anyone else used this kit? It says you can gap the plugs to .065??? If you have this kit installed, what did you gap to and how is it performing for you? Oh and HAPPY SUNDAY ALL

I mounted up a Redneck Ram Hydro assist steering setup. It's a 1.75 ram with a Hi Flow pump and a Big Bore steering box. Rides solid with no twitchy feeling at speeds on the hwy. This setup puts out plenty 9 power out on the rocks. This kit cost me $399 from RnR.

Just got back from rausch. Broken front axle, broken snorkel, and I broke the main bolt in a rear leaf spring that caused some crabwalking on the way home I had to stop and fix. I was an awesome time as usual though, and they are all easy fixes. Glad I was able to drive it home after beating on it.

My crappily made after-market shift knob came off in my hand again. The metal insert only went 1/2" into the knob and was held on by a rubber sleeve and set screws. I got a 2" long threaded steel insert and ground down the outside diameter until it fit the existing hole in the knob. Then I drilled the hole 1-1/2" deeper and epoxied the insert in place. Now it threads solidly onto the shift lever. Just look at that smile and see how happy my shifter is now:

While I'm in the process of tearing down the jeep to prep it for Monstaliner, I've also been doing little side projects to help wrap the jeep up. I got a snorkel for a H1 and painted it matte black. Thinking about painting orange pinstripes on the outside of the two tiny ledges on the top of it to tie it into the black/orange theme.
