Paracord Steering Wheel Wrap

While the girls cooked Thanksgiving dinner I was out in the ol' YJ getting blisters on my fingers. I've been looking at doing this for a while. It turned out pretty good. Thanks youtube for some edumacation!. The difference in feel is amazing!!

Well I spent my Thanksgiving tearing down the old dana 30. The plan is to replace both front axles and wheel joints along with upper and lower ball joints, wheel bearings ect ect. My 1-1/2 7075 hex bar finally came in for the new high steer but I still have yet to design new knuckle brackets for both sides. Fortunately I do have both 7/8-18 and 11/16-18 LH & RH taps along with the taper reamers. This should keep me busy for awhile I guess. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving.

Got all 4 wheels aired up and on the heep and was able to take it for a little spin around the block, even with no balancing yet they ride pretty nice.

That looks cool. How much paracord did you use for that?

Got the fuel pump wiring harness replaced with a weather pack connector. Very easy. Got the tank back in and took her for a spin. Feels great to be driving it again. Still have a ground issue near the parking break. When I apply parking break, fuel gauge jumps around. I'll try to trace the ground and replace as much as I can.

It was great. The bumps that used to practicalky crush my spine are now much better. I didn't notice any string problems our anything so they will be staying off.

Hey Tig, where did you get the weather pack kit? I assume you researched it and got a decent deal?

Just curious what you are running for shocks right now. Mine is stock height and I took off my bars. Still a bit stiff but, much better.

I am stock as well. I am planning on a 2.5 lift very soon though.

Amazon. I got a 460 piece kit for around $100 with shipping, and another $40 for the crimp tool. I bought them separately to get the best price. You can pay well over $100 just for the crimper. The connectors aren't cheap, but really lock in.

Finally completed a sub/storage box. Well, the sub is complete. The storage portion will be done once I figure out how to keep water from getting into in..

I probably need to add another coat of paint to it as well.. Looking at the pic, I realize I can still see wood showing through..

Just picked up a 1/2 air impact wrench at harbor freight. On sale for $80, plus I had a 20% off coupon. I can already see those stuck nuts and bolts quaking in fear! I just hope my compressor can drive it. If not, I know what I want for Christmas!

I made a rolling platform for my weber smoker and coated the plywood with some of that liquid rubber spray, like the stuff on TV. It really sealed the wood and after a summer and fall out in the elements, it's holding up extremely well. The stuff sprays on like paint, and the finish builds up after the first coat.

That's what I used on the bottom, around the speaker, and on the corners. Maybe I'll run another coat of that across the top as well. Thanks!
