I did the icy/snowy Jeep, and AutobotWrangler got the hole in his tire, then climbed a hill with it.

Pretty successful weekend I'd say. I then took it driving in the snow and had some hairy moments going over the mountains in 2 wheel drive but it was a blast. Found a car wash for a dry place to lay and pulled the vacuum actuator cover off the front axle and engaged 4 wheel drive for the drive home. That is one thing I still need to do, mount a front axle disconnect on the dash.

Can you put some pics of the center console and give us a little review of it....
For instance, do sodas fly out of it every time you go around a corner and spill all over the seat and floor? I gotta do something... thanks in advance

I'll get some pictures of it at the latest this coming weekend when I get back home, maybe sooner depending on where I'm working. I hardly drive with a drink but I'll throw something in the holder to see how it holds.

Be warned the cup holders suck ( had that console in my 95) other then that it was decent.

Put a piece of cardboard behind the grill in front of the radiator to actually get my engine up to temperature and keep it there. -25° F and it won't get up to temp! I've got the factory fan with the fan clutch that always runs, so it sucks super cold air even at idle. And yes, I've checked the coolant level, thermostat, clogs in the heater vents, etc. I'm going to back flush the heater core soon.

Yeah, they aren't the greatest. The console is nice though. Pretty tight fit between the seats. Real hard to lean the passenger seat forward. Good thing I don't have to do that very often. I cut a piece of floor mat to line the inside.

Hey John, Forgive my ignorance but what do you mean by axle stretch? I'm really old school and that used to mean wheel base length. I'm really curious. I even looked it up online and they do sell kits to stretch your wheel base. I guess I'm out of the modern lingo? lol

So after I swapped out my engine for the second time I have 550 miles on her. Driving to work yesterday my Power Brake Booster goes out. Beginning to understand the JEEP acronym. Just Empty Every Pocket. LOL. Last night replaced the Power Brake Booster and the Master Cylinder. Need to try and clean out the EGR Valve tonight. Running really rich.

It looks good! You must have stretched the body also because you don't even notice it. Great work buddy.

I have an odd request. Can one of you guys take a pic of the drivers side lower front seat belt mount on your jeep?

My project doesn't have one, it rusted away.

Thanks Tig!

Looks like my plan will work, I intend to slide a thicker metal plate in behind the piece that's rotted out and weld it top and bottom.

Then I will sand and bedline the entire tub so hopefully nothing else rots away LOL.

What did you do for the gas tank, or does it not need to be addressed with that much lift?
