Rooted around the underside of my YJ and discovered a bunch of rot I somehow completely overlooked when I bought it a week ago. Need to get some Safe T Cap patches.

Also found a couple other issues. I'm a jeep newb.

Took it to get aligned and had to explain to the mechanic that sway and trac bars are optional on yj's.

I have same dog, 2 years old. Had the jeep just over a week and he LOVES it. Can't open the door without him trying to jump in. The rear wheel wells are perfect for him to put his front paws on and hang is head out the side.

Yeah mine can't jump in either and she's not a fan of being picked up but at least she's only 22lbs. I have a 6.5" lift and sit on 33"s so it's no easy jump. She always tries to jump out but gets scared and won't do it lol.

Fabricated My own 1/2 doors out of wood. Triple coated the exterior with Helmsman polyurathane..Today I upholstered the interior door panels with distressed leather. I'm still having trouble posting photos, I will post them as soon as I figure out the problem.

Got the sway bar on the front out last night. Gonna try and get the trac bar out next day or so once I get a torx socket set.

LUCKY! I want to get rid of my sport cage so bad. I picked up a rc 12000lb winch last night. Needs a control box and it should be good to go. When I try to engage it one of the solenoids just clicks.
Also did the dd nod with a beat up 98 corolla...
Next mod will probably be moving my tube fenders up 3" for custom hilines.

Pulled up to Casey's (gas station/general store) to pick up a pizza and this dude walking out of the store couldn't stop staring - my buddy actually pointed it out to me.
Walking out of the store the dudes still staring at my YJ from across the lot standing with the door of this brand new Cherokee SRT8 open - we drove by him to confirm the model.

Felt awesome.

Plasti dipped the front fenders and all flares. Installed side steps, new thermostat, new upper and lower radiator hoses.

Today I had a little time so I decided to mount my MAXSA Escaper Buddies under the roof rack. I hope I never get stuck bad enough to need these but you never know...

They fit nice under the roof rack

Safety wired them in to place, there is a small gap between the sand buddies and the top.The reason I went safety wire is to keep them very secure and if needed I can just cut the ties and pull them out.

Invest in a new solenoid box. I have a ramsey that needs one as well.

Finally replaced the lower steering column bearing. The old bearing was frozen to the shaft, so I used my new Dremel to carefully cut it off. I cleaned up the shaft and the new bearing went on with just a little force. No more rattle from the steering column.
