... I took it off to send it to the powder painter... so I decided to change the look a little more and Plasti-Dipped the chrome grill... had to throw on the stock front bumper just so I'm legal for a week...
Next week the wheels go in for powder painting and then the jeep gets a fresh coat of black.... and some more additons...
I want to install LEDs... but I'm not sure I'm qualified....

Did you have to do any prep to the chrome grill to Plasti-Dip?

Yeah.... I cleaned all the bugs off and masked everything.... I also put cardboard behind the grill to stop the paint from getting on the radiator....
It took about 3 coats and a night to dry but it looks alright...
Flat black is what I used... we'll see how it holds up.

Hello all, had a little fun today, got some more parts today and was like a kid at Christmas, here is what I got today,

1, New bestop super top NX with frame and hardware, (very sweet top)
2, New door uppers with frame
3, Rear Smittybilt fenders
4, 50" LED light bar
5, 4" lights
6, Smittybilt rock sliders but ran out of time today, will install tomorrow
7, Smittybilt winch plate with Poison Spyder black anodized hawse fairlead, also ran out of time.

Got all the lights installed but still have to wire everything, going to finish the rails and winch plate tomorrow after I paint the bracket. And going to paint inside lip of rear fenders black.

to prep it i cleaned it with carb cleaner to cut through all the grease and dirt on it...should be fine just dont get that stuff on your paint so if you arent removing the grill to paint it just tape everything off really good and apply the carb/brake cleaner to a paper towel and wipe it on the grill to clean it....then let it sit a little then clean it off with water and wipe it dry...should be good to go after that

Installed the rock sliders, little bit of a pain, had to notch the rears out to fit with rear fenders but overall not bad.

Put the new exhaust manifold on today. I also had to do a new water pump as the one I put in last winter decided to leak. Decided to swap it while the rest of the jeep was apart. Waiting on my Bosch 4 hole injectors to complete the install.

Injectors are in jeep fired right up. Much quieter now with a manifold that is not cracked.
