Yeah - despite the rivalry between the Ags and the Raiders - got a soft spot in my heart for you Farmers. The SWC / Big 12 will soon be something we all say, "Back when I went to school there...." Couldn't TU leave instead?!

Not many places to wheel nearby, but Hidden Falls (near Marble Falls) has a lot of good off roadin' opportunity. If you get a chance to go, I would recommend it. It's about an hour from Austin.

Oh Yeah! Looking like I might be able to score the Swing Out Carrier at a real resonable price. The next pic you see might be with that installed.

Test and play

Went to rausch creek on sunday with all the suspension an such completed and had a blast. Ripped the exhaust off an some minor rock rash but it was still a great day. The ome suspension flexed amazing an the bilstein shocks performed really well. Thinking of ditching the weber an goin with the Howell setup...

Cool new to forum 89 Sahara

I successfully bolted my motor to trans without dropping the trans, and reconnected most of the wires, linkages, and vacuum lines. Tomorow its the altenator, power steering, and A/C, radiator, some oil and coolant. Maybe I'll luck out and crank it up! Wish me luck!

Replaced the oil pan - had a leak from one of the spot welds for the skid plate. After 4 weeks of searching, FINALLY found the three missing pieces from the steering wheel for the horn, and replaced the horn so that I finally have one. Replaced the stereo with a pretty decent Sony CD play with a Aux port and USB. Replaced the upper and lower radiator hoses, and also got my courtesy lights working thanks to a new set I picked up on ebay - let there be light. Also found a set of interior windshield brackets and have them installed too.

Coming soon - replacement front and rear seats for what appear to be Grand Prix Front Seats and rear bench from a a 94 or 95 (all to be listed on the forum soon). I totally lucked out and found a set of pristine condition sahara seats from a scrap yard out East. They just got in an 88 Sahara and were starting to part it out, and I hit them up for a mess of parts - I asked for some shots of the interior and shots of the seats just for sh*ts and grins, and the guy came back with pictures that blew me away. Who ever owned this sahara must have put on waterproof seat covers within the first year he had it, because there isn't a rip, tear, fabric wear, and barely any dirt. Can't wait for those puppies to come in.

There is nothing wrong with a 1" BL. If anything there is more functionality in it than looks. You can clean under the tub easier. But anything above that makes the structure the more unstable the talked you make it. Just my .02

Removed the mirrors, flares, tire carrier, etc to begin slingin' mud in prep for paint. Among other colors, I am considering Peridot Mica, as seen here. Ordering a 2.5" lift Monday, and shopping for a soft top.

I took out the rear seat belts and all of the mounting hardware. I also was able to take the top off in December, which is amazing. God, I love Texas.

Replaced the power steering pump. Hopefully, no more leaks - at least from the power steering pump.
