What I did to my YJ today

So after my long list of things to do for my jeep, I finally got the sway bar disconnects installed. I haven't tested them but I have noticed the appearance to be much different. For some odd reason I feel like I can take on the world. I am stock, though I run on 31" tires so it makes me wonder. hmmm.... Anywho...I will be trying to find the bushings for the JKs telescopic tracbar I've acquired to install in the next few days. I have pictures just need to extract them from my phone.

Info on the dicos, it was a pain in the behind to remove them!! That's all I can say about that. Installation was a cinch and I cannot wait to go "flexing" soon.

As I mentioned before I have cleaned the carb and valve cover, they were covered in heavy grease and grime and oil and dirt and basically everything under the sun. I'll post pics tomorrow. I'm getting summoned by the woman to come to bed. It's 0230am. hmmm.... ;-)

Finished up the Air Cleaner on the sniper install on the Sahara. Ordered a Holley 10" air cleaner that was "supposedly" shipping today, after two weeks of waiting I ordered a similar model Edelbrock proformer series Sunday that got here the next day. I had originially ordered chrome but i kinda like the look of the black one, matches the valve cover, LOL

After a couple weeks of back and forth to work and a few local jaunts, I must say it's a remarkable improvement over the Carb. Will I drop one in Tonka, it's hard to say. Audio equipment Gadget Electronic instrument Automotive tire Camera accessory

The black looks great! If I was shopping for a new air cleaner assembly I'd definitely get the black.

Those look pretty nice, you're going to have to detail the wax job on the rest of the jeep now if they look as good as the pics.

Come on a little cut and polish couldnā€˜t hurt.

Those half doors look sweet. I just missed on a pair in white, for $200 dollars. Must continue to be patient.

I installed two one-way valves in my fuel line, after the mechanical pump, so hopefully she'll start easier after sitting a couple days.

Make sure to update on how that works for you. I tried a single one way valve back when I still had a carburator, helped a little, bit still had hard starts occasionally.

I put a one way valve before the fuel pump and that seemed to cure it to the point that I could go 3 or 4 days before I had a long crank.

Let us know how it goes for your installation.

Good Luck, L.M.

Added a new Jeep to the collection today, had to keep my girls riding in style. The new model retains the classic YJ "Boxed look" and comes with a factory soft top.

I tried to start the jeep after 3-4 days and the one way valves don't seem to have done much. If it ever stops raining here in Houston I'll be able to get her out for a drive.

Threw these on today hoping to have one less thing to plow rocks with. Heck of a lot cheaper than the new skid plate I want.

It'll be interesting to see what they look like in a year. I started to say by the end of the summer, but I don't think you guys go out too much during the summer.

Good Luck, L.M.

Posi-Loc isn't my thing, but the new seat belts and the non-torx roll bar bolts are great. The bedliner looks outstanding. Post some pics once it's all together.
Let us know how the bedliner works for you. Is it easy to keep clean?

Good Luck, L.M.

I will.
I am thinking this liner is going to hold dirt.
I thinned the stuff down and sprayed it t high pressure hoping it would smooth the texture out some.
Which it did. It's much smoother than some I've seen.
It's still kinda rough.
The new belts are cool. My old belts had some issues.
I also have new seats and a gauge cluster coming at some point.
The date on those items keeps moving out.
Not sure what's going on there.

Make a day run out to the high desert, your Freedom will appreciate the shade. LOL

I like mine...but for a little extra freedom I also have one of those Mastertop mesh shade tops that filters out the sun, but doesn't block it out totally.
